I do not have a voltage tester but i did notice one of the connectors towards the front of the bike had a short in it and stopped my starter button from working when i wiggled it. im in the process of replacing the main wiring harness now aswell as the other wiring harness on the bike and will be sure to pick up a battery aswell. keep up the good work on the channel. you seem to know your stuff about this bike if i have any questions i will be sure to stop back by... thank you again for the help you earned a sub buddy

So if I’m not mistaken.. 2001-2003 750 2001-2003 600 Stator and rectifier and lots of other parts are interchangeable correct? I’m only asking because I have a k1 750 and I might want to rob some parts off of it for the 03 600 like thermostat. Water pump.

Hey DRK KNT i recently acquired a 2001 GSXR 750 and have been having issues with the battery staying charged. i took the battery to local store to get tested and they said it is still good i replaced the stator and i replaced the rectifier and the battery is still not charging. if i jump the bike off it runs without an issue until it is turned back off and will not crank unless it is jumped again.. any idea what would be causing this ?

J twaa and the Bearded man have you checked the voltage while the bike is running. It should be around 14 volts and then rev it to 3000 rpms and the volts should go up

J twaa and the Bearded man also if the bike will run after you jump it with no problems odds are the battery is bad. If it was another bad stator or rectifier then the bike would only run for a short time before it would die.

I have a question is it normal to have a litle oil there? In the stator house/beneath the stator?

Yeah you actually need oil in there for cooling the stator.

hey if you know? did yours have two washer for bolts on stator cuz mine do and I forgot which bolts it goes on and now it leaks oil.

Stan Maksiuk I don't remember and I replaced that motor almost a year ago. I would recommend just pulling it back off and trying to reseal it.

DRK KNT RACING I have a K1 600 GSX-R and I'm having trouble with it not sure what it may be, about a week and a half ago my cluster stopped working out of nowhere and since then I've noticed my head light flickers @ idle and under WOT it's giving sluggish acceleration. Any help would be appreciated greatly

People that DO NOT buy the gasket waste time because RTV is messy gets places it shouldn't and a gasket is penny's by comparison to the hours to clean the sheet off. I call STOOPID, STOOPID, STOOPID. Just buy the stator and gasket KIT.............its cheap as F.
