Very cool job. I’ve seen a lot of home builders NOT fiberglass the under sides of plywood...which is exact why I’m replacing the entire floor in my Trihull. A little extra work goes a long way.

my tank was formed to the hull with big round tubes thru the tank for drainage, so thats why i thought of making holes in your floor under the tank. My boat is an 97 four winns sundowner 225, floor was soft over the tank cover, soft wood around that. and gee they didnt even fiberglass over the plywood deck under the carpeting! Thats coming off too to inspect for rot and soaked foam. Engine could be seized, i ordered a crankshaft turning tool to bolt to the balancer. Sort of doubting its going to rotate. 400hrs on the engine. Its a volvo-penta fuel injected 5.7L v8, so im not going to be able to lift that out wo an overhead hoist.

I found your videos after searching on boat stringers and floors. Your doing a great job reconstructing that floor. On the gas tank floor, shouldnt you cut a few 1" holes thru the gas tank floor board incase of a fuel leak, the gas or water in that area could be drained out.

Hey- great video. So in this step what products are you using? Earlier you had polyester resin and chop strand, is that all that's being used here? Could you link the resin so i know what to get? There's a million different kinds.

Several good brands out there, totalBoat is good, just make sure it's laminating resin on this part amzn.to/3miGY7A and using 1708 fiberglass
