Self-Important Pseudo-intellectual - assuming CS means computer science- I'd go with that, because that pays extremely well and has a vast number of job opportunities... Physics is not one I saw come up really when I was looking at jobs. This isn't to say they aren't out there, in fact I know of many physics majors you go into software development and computer science jobs. However if you want the fastest route to a job in A.I. you should really consider computer science. Physics would be better for something like quantum computing. Computer science with a minor in applied math would also be an awesome combo.

A.I. has alot to do with CS, learning the basic fundamentals of computers. Math will help when solving problems and creating algorithms, but you need to learn more about data structures and algorithms in greater details, which is only learnt in CS courses. Besides, intermediate level of coding skills will help immensely.

For reference, I'm currently a PhD student doing research in Quantum Optimization algorithms. The best major for quantum computing depends on what you want to do. For hardware I would recommend physics and electrical engineering. For algorithms, and I'm definitely biased here, I recommend mathematics. I started studying quantum computing because of my love for numerical analysis and linear algebra. There are many paths to working on quantum computing, it's a highly interdisciplinary field.

5:50 Lot of confusion here. An artificial intelligence like a COM in a game results from machine learning training oriented. It calls the right version of AI which set the level of difficulty. But you cannot make an artificial intelligence without ML

Thank you for these videos! I watched several of them a few times already and learned a lot. I have a question I hope you can help me with. CS is highly in demand in the AI and robotics industry; EE is also very popular. So, if computer engineering is 50% CS and 50% EE (according to your other video), why it is not also very in demand? That's the feeling I got from this video and also from a small check I did a few weeks ago. (Didn't see too many jobs that specifically said that they look for CE, but like to said it was a lot of CS and EE). I'm not asking to be a smartass; I'm asking because I'm a CC student and will apply soon to a four-years university and robotics and AI very interest me. Somehow, I prefer to build things from the bottom up and to understand how they work; this is why I prefer computer engineering over CS. But, I'm not sure if it is the right way for me if I really want to get into robotics and AI.

@Armando Morales Yes. The only reason it isn't listed above is that the Major isn't commonly recognized. Most schools don't do "Computer Engineering" however almost all universities do Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. It's the same as some schools might have "Artifical Intelligence", "Machine Learning", etc, which are directly used for AI but still won't be listed. You should be fine with a CompE degree.

You can always try the biomed field through a major like EE or ME and if you can't find anything you have plenty of other options. But I am writing the robotics script right now and it will be a 2 part video (just like this one). Keep an eye out and hope you enjoy it!

Before electronic calculators and in the earlier computer days they had to use more efficient types of predictive models like least squares regression. Neural networks only really became practical in the 2010s when more powerful computers and larger datasets became available. for a very simple neural network and a very small training set you can do it by hand but not for anything large enough to actually be useful.
