@@granday not true, and that's what makes PCs superior to any game console ever made. There are literally decades of great games. Now if you mean you can't play current "AAA" games on a 100 dollar PC, well you're wrong there too. You will have to get some semi modern components for free, which is hard, but doable. And you will certainly have to make graphical sacrifices, but right now on ebay I've seen an old Xeon workstation with 64 gb of ram and a 6 core 12 thread CPU go for that price. If you can source a 1650 super, or 1660TI for free, (I have been able to do that with some trades) Then you have a surprisingly capable gaming machine.

I think a better cpu option for that board and only costing a little bit more would be a Xeon processor like the E3-123 V3 or E3-1241 V3. Especially silicon chips, the shortage and how it affected the industry, yall think we just be saying this to discourse yall, no that’s not the case. These things are said for those that want to do the builds but need to understand DAILY, prices fluctuate, due to stocks, how MUCH y’all buy these EXAXT parts. Becuase of videos like these. That ties you into using affiliate links etc dude makes money off those which isn’t bad but at the same time understand exactly wtf it is you are doing in this community of pc building and maintaining, nonetheless just accept the fact that it’s a real think. For everyone in this comment section. MSRP. Is a real thing. And it DOES fluctuate., the links in his bio are AFFLIATE links meaning he gets payed each time we use them and the more that use then the more that msrp goes up or mark up goes up via the seller or brand. Why videos like these help for the first 100 people then everyone else is overly priced or can’t find a component for what he said. Hence sourcing your own parts. And that also will vary on your states location, supply and demand folks. Supply and demand. And just because the pc parts in your area are being made cheaper @furkanoof, doesn’t mean it is in other folks area of living. Nonetheless if you can’t go and find each and every individual component and add it up yourself don’t be in my comment section complaining about shit when you can do the research yourself tbh.

I just tried to boot it and it seems the PSU is dead, it was a pretty crap PSU from like 2010, I do actually have a spare PSU so will test. I was of the opinion that this CPU wasn't good for much being only 4 core 4 thread. After seeing this video I think I will get it going again, just needs a new PSU and a new 2.5 SATA SSD, a 512gb would be fine. It's a fun project to do if you're interested in stuff like this, but otherwise, don't build it. By setting your budget this low (or lower), you basically start to experience reverse diminishing returns where your performance will exponentially decrease the less you spend. If you're on a really tight budget, your best bet is to just wait a bit while you scrape up an extra $200 or so and build a more modern pc. This will allow you to enter the price ranges of newer components so that you don't have to suffer with using these ancient artifacts of hardware. Just by putting 1.8x more money into the computer and having the correct part selection, it will completely blow that nearly decade old hunk of junk out of the water.

@@smokegames1179 Shouldn't be an issue. Be careful when removing old processor & do read through the BIOS update notes. Some motherboards require you to have a certain BIOS version before updating to the latest BIOS version. If you're using a B350 board, the 5600X/5700X CPU would be a good choice. Higher core variants (5900X/5950X) would be a poor choice unless you're certain that your motherboard VRMs are up to the task.

Xbox (and im sure Play Station aswell) actually sells their consoles at a net loss! Meaning they lose money every time they sell a console and that they will almost always be a better price to performance compared to building a PC. The reason they are able to sell so cheap is because they know that they can recoup their losses via subscriptions such as xbox live, and cuts they take from people selling games on the xbox store. If you're looking for a great upfront price to performance, a console is the way to go! (I feel like a representative from Microsoft or something lol)

How can you find out what build is best for 32-64GB ram and 3-4TB memory?
@arrozthomas Жыл бұрын
I imagine that with the amount of ram and ssd size that u work with content creation or video/photography editing. It’s not as easy to find with that much little information that u put up there but here is a few recommendations that can stack with the amount of storage and RAM that u have. But depending if that ur RAM is DDR4 or DDR5 pretty much any CPU of the last 2 years 8/16 cores or over are a pretty good deal to u tho. I would recommend for cpu the new I5-13600KF or the I7-13700KF if you have an extra budget! I would combo with a Z760 or better motherboard. If you’re looking to gaming perfomance both of them are the best price to perfomance in the Market with an upgradable path. But if you’re lookin in to Ryzen options, I would recommend the Ryzen 9 5950x and the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. Both of’em are an awesome deal and you can find them in Sale on Amazon US or even Aliexpress. I personally would pair them with a good B550M mid-range or even high end board! If you have multiples ‘2 slots you should look into the best compatibilities with your build. I think, being not so sure, any Aorus Elite board would serve you well. I wouldn’t recommend going with an Z AM4 motherboard cause your path of upgrade doesn’t exist and it’s an waste of money. The 12th generation of Intel I would consider and not even the new generation of Ryzens, cause they fall behind pretty much in every aspect and their total combos with MB’s are way expensive than the new 13th gen Intel CPUS. I would recommend for the ryzens cpu to get an AIO Cooler cause they run pretty hot. DeepCool make some good budget all-in-one’s AIO’s but if you’re able to expend a bit more you can look into Cooler Master master liquids AIO coolers. My personal favorites for budget options are the DeepCool LE500 (NO RGB) or the Master Liquid 240L with an ARGB option. For the Intel CPUS a pretty good Nocta Air Cooler or any other in particular would be alright, cause they don’t run as hot as these Ryzens on stock. But if you can get an AIO Cooler, it’s even better . For GPUS I would recommend that you get an 3070 or 6800XT or higher so you don’t get bottleneck so hard. Anything over it will serve u amazingly. That’s it, if you need any help, lmk!

With those choices really anything below $700 makes the ram kinda overkill and you could sell the remainder, but then again if you have more than that to spend honestly those parts aren’t gonna be limited by anything probably unless the storage is a really slow hard erive

please make a (super) cheap build (less than 425$) with i3-10100f and no used parts (preferably all parts from amazon)

Should have got an rx580 8gb for it. I did, and it cost £42. It got thrown in my old 4690k build and still going strong
