Multiply by 2.2 to convert from kg to pounds. So 140 kg times 2 is 280, and then you take that number and move the decimal once over to the left (280 becomes 28) and add it to the first number: 280 + 28 equals 308 pounds. You can do that in your head in seconds.

The concept of crossfit is great when correctly applied. The problem comes with the wrong "optimization" crossfitters do to some exercises. The CLEAREST example imo is the classic crossfitter's "pull-up", that's just doing the exercise for the sake of the movement, not for its benefits to the body.
@0BuLLeT013 жыл бұрын
Crossfitter's pull-ups as you describe them are not intended for the same purpose as your traditional strict pull-up. Crossfitters still practice strict pull-ups to build strength and endurance, but they're rarely programmed in competition as they are difficult to judge fairly. It is important that you remember that CrossFit is a sport as well as a methodology. Trust me when I tell you that kipping, and even butterfly pull-ups require strength, timing and endurance, and all three forms have different purposes.

"Crossfitters don't usually look like weightlifters when they lift" is so accurate. Alternatively, there is something distinctly unique in the way a weightlifter lifts. I think it's that a miss with a weightlifter is almost always technique related, rather than strength related (as in a technical mistake, not lack of technique). Whereas for a crossfitter, it's both lack of technique and strength. It's always a grind - even their makes.
