I played the bison side of the bison-guile match-up and the key is to throw the first round by abusing goomba stomp. If you can get the guile player to think about flash kick more than sonic boom you can roll the dice on some interactions

i was gonna say no hugo vs gouken but the guy below me said it 1st... that mu was HORRIBLE. the fireball that was ment to stop jumps would hugo while he was standing at like 3/4 of the screen it was one of the worst matchups i had seen in all of fighting games period

Just going to leave out Gouken VS Hugo? lol. Gouken vs hugo is easily one of the worst mus in the game because Hugo cannot crouch mp fireball. and goukens projectiles recover faster than Sagats. Gouken vs hugo is easily worse than sagat vs hugo. Anytime hugo jumps, gouken ex tatsu pushes him back full screen to start all over again. not half way across. full across. hugo has no way to reliably jump the fireballs, dash, is forced to block, and this mu creates the most chip damage because goukens charged projectiles apply the most chip pressure in game meterless.

Great video! I know that I've mentioned this before, but, even though SF4 isn't my favorite fighting game, I did love watching your Fei Long! Just curious, what matchup do you think is harder: Zangief vs. Sagat, or Hugo vs. Sagat? Also, speaking of Zangief, Zangief vs. Guy is a very rough matchup...but in Zangief's favor (this time)!

As much as I do agree that guile vs bison is difficult, I do think this match up is a bit more nuanced. Bison has to play without charge while mixing blocking, focusing booms, neutral jumping and the occasional hard read ex scissor. Super tough matchup nonetheless

I understand very little, but when one sees professional players having such a bad time it makes us think there's something wrong with the game concept. I miss playing SFIV, just did it for fun against CPU long ago, mechanics aren't the same as in SFV or SF6, but some characters seem to keep having to work much more than others across the titles. At least it seems to me that Zangief deals more damage out of SPDs now, maybe I'm wrong. It'd be interesting your opinion on that. Thanks for the videos man.
