Hi Zajef, I just wanted to chime in and say that I really appreciate your content and what you contribute to the community. I'd like to share how I view your work as someone who only interacts with your content through these informative Genshin videos. Theorycrafting is an immensely complicated subject. Anybody that has tried to perform the calculations for a single rotation will recognize the sheer amount of knowledge required to arrive at a reasonably correct answer. Yet you make it possible for the casual viewer, who may lack perfect understanding of all the intricacies of game mechanics, to at least somewhat understand enough of the nuances of such a complex subject to make informed decisions with their resources. To me, your work is an educational resource in the same way as my university lectures, except your videos are far better at explaining and teaching practical things. I'd compare you with someone like 3blue1brown. Do not undervalue your impact on the community. Quality informational content is rare in the Genshin content sphere. Lastly, I'd wager that the silent majority of your viewers (who interact with your content simply for reasonable information like me) aren't the type of people who would be discussing the nature of your character or your work in some thread on social media. Of course, Genshin's fanbase includes far more demographics than that, but in my opinion, the internet comments of those of the less mature variety that fall into a certain demographic (who I'd wager are 1. more likely to be discussing the nature of your character or your work in some social media thread, and 2. comprise a good portion of your viewership because this is a popular game after all) should perhaps be taken a little less seriously. With all that said, thank you for your work up until now. For documenting/testing/measuring game mechanics + theorycrafting + calculations. For making that information accessible, digestible, and available to a wider audience in a timely manner. For continually striving for accuracy by staying up to date with new information and by producing new content updating previous information. For being an great example of what informative video game content creators should strive for in any game. Know that your work has been recognized, and based on many of the other comments here, I'm not alone in that sentiment. If you decide to move on from Genshin, I wish you luck in your next endeavors.

My fav thing abt zajef is his unfiltered opinions. Hes very passionate abt the fact that maximizing fun doesnt require any certain character in the game (except xinqiu). But itll get him in trouble at times with people whove spent time/money where zajef doesnt recommend. As someone whose spent months farming eula pieces it doesnt feel great for him to dismiss eula as standard char but i understand his reasoning.

@@housecanrun9198 his opinions are straightforward WITH the idea that almost every character is viable. obviously he’s a theory crafter and needs to be straightforward about which characters are worth your investment and which not unless you like them. that being said, because almost every character is viable and can be utilized easily, you can still make them the most valuable unit on your account, just keep in mind that achieving so will be at a higher expense. and nevertheless, even with the pricier characters, he’s very open about their main strengths and how to make them excel over other units in given scenarios. so even if your or my eula isnt strategically worth it, it does not dismiss the amazing results she can bring, its just that if you want to beat the game in the most strategic way possible, eula probably wont be one of those characters to keep in mind.

But there is genuine criticism. I think the way he reacts to said criticism then just snowballs. He trolls and the trolls in turn do it back to. I still watch his videos here and there especially for someone like Shenhe. But I watch them knowing he’ll have certain biases. Like how he downplayed the advantage of having calamity queller for Shenhe because he hates weapon banner

I will say that even though I do have Ayaka, I barely use her but I always use Shenhe with my Kaeya. I don't necessarily think she's only for use with Ayaka -- she makes my Kaeya extremely strong, makes mono-cryo with kaeya and rosaria feel decent, and is also pretty great on Rosaria melt.

Just wanted to throw this in at the start, if anyone enjoys playing anemo MC, I've loved shenhe/MC. Anemo MC has cryo prioritization, and their skill and burst both infuse. You can get some crazy hold E damage from MC this way :) not super meta, but it's fun! And for Zajeff, great vid! Been watching your stuff since the very beginning :) when people ask me lots of questions in co-op, I'll often refer them to your KZbin. Mainly cause typing on mobile in Genshin is a pain, but also cause you're such a more comprehensive source. Always look forward to your uploads!! Edit: Bowl

The reason Ayaka - Shenhe - Kokomi - Kazuha comp is strong is because Shenhe provide good support for unfreezable single target enemies or bosses, while Kazuha does for AoE situation.

About the question regarding the importance of her burst; one thing people seem to forget, I guess, is that Shenhe's quills also apply to herself. Sure, her 59.6% burst DoT at lvl 10 looks low as a standalone number, but her burst damage can also get increased by her quills, and with 12s burst duration, you can just about fit 2 taps to her own burst just like you can do with Ayaka's burst.

BALLS, always learning a lot from your videos. I didn’t have Mistsplitter yet, and is using R5 Amenoma atm. Currently saving up for Nilou rerun and maybe Baizhu. Kinda tempted to pull the weapon banner thou, since I don’t mind a Calamity and kinda lost hope on character design from HYV. Maybe I’ll wait the next version program first to see what banner will come 😵

First off, your voice overs for Shenhe at the end were really good lol. Second, watching this really made me realize that I kinda built my Shenhe all wrong. I hyper focused on atk so much that now she has little ER, but at the time it didn't matter to me because I didn't realize how valuable her burst was during a rotation. I only got her because of design and story so I wasn't being optimal with my primo (I also didn't have Ayaka at the time too so it was an even worse investment lol). Long story short she actually has the stats of a sub dps/dps (decent crit/crit dmg), (high atk), (2pc/2pc atk% set), and (Deathmatch). I know Fav Lance and 4pc Nobless would be much better but a part of me wants keep this build cause it makes her feel strong and the artifacts I have on her rn are really good. Also farming artifacts suck so I'd have to basically do a factory reset on her build lol. She does her job just fine so the only thing I might change is her weapon. Thanks for the video!

Just swap to fav for now. 2pc 2pc atk is still solid enough and you can strongbox noblesse for a new set over time

5:14 - This is exactly what I was trying to explain to someone in another comment section, but they couldn't understand the logic. The value of Shenhe beyond just "she buffs cryo" is that she is powerful anti-anti tech, like chaff/flare countermeasures vs. SAM turrets. When Mihoyo is going anti-freeze like they have been, ironically that makes the value of Shenhe go up, because Shenhe will allow Ayaka to fade anti-freeze by pivoting to mono cryo instead. ----- Also, keep on keeping on, Zajef! You've singlehandedly done more to spread the dendro gospel than any other person on the planet.

Thanks to impulse rolling on every banner with anything I remotely wanted on it i have Eula Ganyu and Ayaka. Was pulling for her purely because i like her aesthetics, Im sure i'll find a use for Shenhe.

The cryo Zhongli team at 35:49 doesn't work, you need Chongyun for the cryo infusion so that Zhongli's normals proc Shenhe's quills

13:40 Wait I can run Shenhe on my Eula team and not have to run electro...which means I get a better chance to proc the cryo resonance... this is actually huge for Eula Teams. Dude this is exactly what I needed to hear. Edit: BOWL
