The thing about mosh pits is that people who want to play and are stronger ring the circle. Anyone in that ring will protect those behind them and no one will let someone really go down and get trampled. It's an entirely different scenario.

@TheJamesDyl3 жыл бұрын
Astrofest wasn’t simply an issue of “moshpit etiquette” and I hate that everyone seems to view it that was. No matter who’s at the concert wether it’s a rock concert or a rap one, 50,000 people crammed in a 20,000 area is a recipe for disaster no matter what. There’s was literally no room for people to move or help each other up. And y’all talking down on them is kinda sad.
@allisonmiller36693 жыл бұрын
True but when youre on the outside of the circle you sometimes get people shoved into you lmao
@nogi29583 жыл бұрын
@@TheJamesDyl I agree with you that the problems at Astroworld Fest aren't about "moshpit etiquette", they are about terrible event planning from crowd numbers to security to first aid availability and on top of that- encouraging people to crash the gates which just increased crowd size. This is why I'm so tired of hearing the comparison to moshpit behavior. This was something very different.

I’m definitely with Mariah… like HOW out of all those people only a handful were helping! Everyone involved in that festival made life changing mistakes! Especially for a FESTIVAL you NEED to make sure proper security is hired and trained and HOW WAS all those people running from one place to another in a hurry idk how does that seem safe.. and with children there ugh! I don’t think Travis deserves all the blame but I do think he gets a solid amount of it cuz he NEW what was happening in that crowd. There have been many videos coming out of other singers at concerts noticing fans fainting or seemed to need help.. just wilddddd.
@vickysdiy1463 жыл бұрын
It did feel a little ignorant for her to ask why there was children there ,but this festival was holding one of the most known Artist of one of the most known video games to children of those ages so I think maybe if a little more research would’ve been done would’ve been Better but I don’t think that comment sat right with me.
@LucidTG2 жыл бұрын
aint no way y’all really think travis knew lmao if you’ve never been to a travis concert y’all shouldn’t be talkin fr. i’ve been to 3, and one of them my friend rushed the stage and travis let him stage dive, based off those experiences i’m telling you right now you can’t see or hear shit at these shows whether ur in the crowd or on stage. there’s so many lights, smoke, pyro, flames all sorts of shit going on you can’t see 4 feet in front of you in the crowd, and when my friend got on stage he described it and said it looked like ghosts. like thousands of black silhouettes behind the lights like shadows. i will say travis should’ve maybe paused and done more when he saw the security cart in the crowd, but he didturn around and ask what was happening and they told him nothing and to continue, so he asked the crowd to put a middle finger up if they were good and literally the ENTIRE crowd put up a middle finger. if i was him i wouldn’t know shit to do either except my one and only job: perform.

The Hajj incident was due to poor organization and fear of some pilgrims, which led to this incident, but in Islam Hajj is very important and sacred to Muslims and there is nothing to prevent people from standing, but the reason why they did not stop in the incident is the fear of being stuck, which resulted in what we have seen, and in Tawaf (circling around the Kaaba) can also stand and leave. As a Muslim, I felt some insult, so please prepare more if you want to talk about news that affects another religion, especially sensitive news, and thank you, old fan

@MoezixPotter3 жыл бұрын
me too! altho he got a couple of things wrong that couldve changed the whole understanding of the hajj and umrah but i loved that he spoke to the best of his knowledge. im both a muslim and a saudi😂 im a good pal i promise lol but what needed correction is that 1- Hajj is the last pillar of islam as my baby zane mentioned yes 2- it is not a “must to do once in ur lifetime” you CAN do it only if you were capable mentally, physically..etc to do it. otherwise you’re good. god encourages us to do but also says that its okay if you didnt because he knows that it might be hard for a lot of people. 3- in islam there is always an alternative to literally anything or any pilgrims. the one for hajj is that if you cant do it for any reason it’s fine, but you can fast on the 9th day of hajj and it’d be as if you have performed it. so literally all muslims who arent able to go (me included that lives 40 minutes away from mecca) we fast on the 9th day. 4- and most importantly, the kaaba where you have to do the 7 rounds. no, you do not have to redo the whole thing if you fell or anything like that. you keep going and things are fine. you can stop whenever you want to catch a breath, take a toilet break..etc i promise you its fine. but a lot of people and especially non-arab muslims sometimes have misinformation but they are soon corrected and are guided onto whats right and whats not with the help of the gov and the security guards that are all trained for it and ready with translators to keep people aware. if you fall, someone will help you get up and you can take a breath and continue from where youve left things. it is so easy and harmonious but i understand that some people are overwhelmed when theyre there and tend to be aggressive and stuff, but they are always in check because you will find security guards and medical personnel literally with every step you take to take care of everyone and ensure the safety of others. the hajj incidence was tragic and didnt make any sense to us because literally everyone moves in the same direction and all the millions there literally know where to go to next and they move altogether its been that way for years and years. but that year things were sketchy because suddenly the second of third group that passed the bridge turned around and started going in the opposite direction for no reason at all…. and sadly lives were lost on the side that people were going through the bridge. its crazy it happened when you’re sure that security is onto to people 24/7 for all the days they spend in hajj. they assign medical personnel and security to each small group to make sure they pay full attention to everything happening but god knows what was that group doing that got them to cause that mayhem which was the first to ever happen during hajj. a lot of people are injured and hospitalized but for completely different reasons. anyways thank you for giving our baby zane credit we love him and he did the best he could❤️

there’s two things people do when they go to Mecca. There’s Umrah and there’s Hajj. I highly doubt that Zane’s parents are able to go to Hajj every year because it’s very expensive and sometimes it’s hard to get a turn to go in. Many people go to Umrah more than once because it’s not as expensive, so lots of people go to Umrah every year. and when it comes to the pilgrims walking around the Ka’ba in Hajj, they can’t stop because there’s thousands and thousands of people walking. If one person stops suddenly then everyone will stumble and fall on top of each other and it’ll cause chaos. and there are groups and groups of paramedics and security guards making sure people are walking smoothly. and if one person does want to stop and breathe there’s people that will help them do that. he made it seem like it’s a suicide mission when it’s actually not.

@@lala_lakeypoo This is not the first time Zane "misspoke" about the middle east and I never commented about it, but he straight up said "people almost lose limbs" I'm a paramedic I go to hajj every year with 870 volunteers working as a one team to serve all the people who visit makkah from all around the world, and 90% of the cases are people want to just check there blood pressure, glucose level or asking for paracetamol for headache, and the other 10% is just back feet injuries scratches form wheel chairs. And also they never talked about Buddhism :)

With Matt pulling up facts and reading them it felt like an old beginning podcast. I love the group but the vibes just feel forced 90% of the time now and I can tell Mariah hates it and knows she’s ignored and talked over so much. It was nice to feel the old vibes again for just a minute.

I don’t like the way Mariah was bashing mosh pits as if they’re anything like astroworld. The alternative community takes care of each other. When you enter the pit, you enter with the awareness that something could happen, but also with the awareness that the people around you have your back. The unwritten rule of a mosh pit is when someone falls, you better pick them back up. Cause once you’re in that pit together, you take care of each other. And with alternative shows, “enjoying the music” is moshing. No one is going to sway to thrash metal. That’s how we “enjoy the music.” I don’t ever go to shows that aren’t alt simply for the fact that no one gives a fuck about anyone or anything outside of their own personal show experience. It’s gross.
@kaitlynblount76833 жыл бұрын
I mean you're making it sound like alternative shows are just better but there are literally shitty, nasty people and terrible things that happen at every kind of concert. And then there are people who take care of each other and are good at them too. Your favorite genre isn't better than any other because they all have had things go bad during shows. This tragedy is not a way to start preaching about how "this doesn't happen at metal shows" etc etc. It could happen anywhere with poor planning and indifferent artists. Y'all wanna use this as an opportunity to shit on rap music and the people who listen to it and maybe you should think about why you feel it's necessary to do that.

Hajj you have to do once in your life time IF you can afford it. Umrah is optional and can be done multiple times if you have the socioeconomic capability to do so or live in Saudia. The event itself is not dangerous, the mismanagement from people there can be. However each year, especially with COVID they have done a progressive job in creating new protocols where they have even created a section for those who are unable to walk. I know you tried your best in explaining it Zane, but there is a lot of misinformation on this and other islamic topics you have covered. To others who may not have exposure to these topics or the religion, might believe you and adopt a negative connotation to a religion that they might not know a lot about. It is one of the pillars, however it is not a pillar which is intentionally placing people in harm by obligating them to perform it once in their life time.
