Beardies are amazing!! But please don’t feed them lettuce as it’s mostly water and can cause upset stomach. Kale, squash, strawberries, blueberries are all great for them when calcium dusted!! Same for their crickets and mealworms😊

Such a cute beardie! Please do plenty more research tho as they need a heat lamp AND uvb and also to hold them make sure all their feet are supported or they get really stressed. Also romaine lettuce does nothing for them nutrient wise so I recommend kale instead. Overall cute baby and hope Zane looks into him more!

DO NOT pick their skin off unless it falls right off. It will hurt them 😢 if you are tugging at it to get it off, it’s not ready! DO NOT feed him romaine lettuce!!! They can’t digest that very well. I highly suggest Kale, Collard green or dandelion greens! They also can eat lots of fruits such as: Papaya (they’re favourite) pieces can’t be bigger than the space between their eyes! Mangos, strawberries (NO SEEDS) bananas and the peel as well! And for Vegetables Squash specifically spaghetti and carrots! They also can eat peppers in small amounts:) (red is best) I found my dragon has loved all these:) There’s also horn worms that give extra nutrients for your dragon! Only as a treat though! I hope this helped, I just want your dragon as safe as possible! NO ROMAINE, NO ICEBERG! Also, during colder seasons your dragon will go into Brumation which is hibernation for them, so don’t be concerned if your dragon is sleeping for a couple months! Also, if he isn’t pooping as they need heat to digest their food, a warm bath always does the trick!! 20 minutes outside is equal to 24 hours in a tank as well! Natural UV rays! yes agreed! and i heard them say this beardie doesnt like other beardies, you actually shouldnt house bearded dragons together at all! he looks at least a year old, so he needs worms/bugs at least once a week and greens everyday, such as mustard and turnip greens. and they might now poop everyday just depends, my beardie girl only poops once a week

hey there we had a bearded dragon growing up! they love being social/walking around so i would say to put his house in a area where people walk around like the living room or dining room because he would get lonely/bored being in a bedroom all day and lastly they love walking around so take him out throughout the week to walk around the house or a small area so he can explore! just some tips happy bday zane!

I love how responsible Zane is being with this bearded dragon. It excites me to know that he wants to learn everything he can about this animal to make sure he gives it the best life possible you could tell how seriously he’s taking this. I had a bearded dragon and mine ate crickets. I would have to adjust his crickets with calcium powder so I don’t know if they gave you calcium powder, but make sure you get calcium powder, Podesta mealworms, and even his lettuce.

My boyfriend had a bearded dragon when I met him and we’ve been together 6 years and live together so I always make jokes about being his step mom because I never imagined I would have a lizard. But I love him! He loves cilantro and strawberries and broccoli. They like warm baths, it helps them shed and helps keep their femoral glands from getting clogged. Don’t peel off the skin unless it is completely ready to come off. Congrats on being a beardie daddy now :-)
