Matt’s school story is chilling. My school sent out an active shooter notification on accident and my friend told me that classes went into lockdown and that the students were freaked out and crying. I had just left the campus when I received the notification but my heart sank because i knew my friend still had class.

My close call story was when me and my best friend were at Arianas concert in Manchester. My family has one of those right place right time stories. My dads family was fleeing during the conflict between Pakistan and India and they missed their train. They panicked because they thought they were going to get killed while waiting for the next one. What actually happened is that the train they were SUPPOSED to be on got hijacked and everyone on board was killed.

As an American, I wish we had stricter gun laws. “We need guns to protect ourselves” and “Guns don’t kill people. People kill people” are not strong excuses for anyone to obtain a firearm. I think people should go through psychological exams to be able to get a firearms license. Obviously guns don’t kill people on their own, but messed up people that have access to them do.
