their concerns make sense tho. like even the lego thing she was trying to say that u can take a square city and stretch it all into a line and it would still take up the same surface area. doesn’t matter if they’re building up bc heath and moriah were saying u could keep it square and build up too. i personally think living in a square/rectangular city with walls around it wouldn’t leave you feeling as trapped as a line would.

@@b.r.i.e because the point of doing a line is to use less land. If you do a square, then the land INSIDE the square will also be taken up. Conserving land is half of the reason it’s a line. But I do agree, the line still looks very claustrophobic

Ugh the line conversation killed me lol. Y’all this design and concept is INCREDIBLE. I know most people aren’t interested in living in something like that yet. However, we are at the time where we NEED these structures and people to comprise on what they want in order to continue living on earth. Truly. Sorry but I’ll forever take living in “the line” over fighting for resources!!

The Line uses the concept that the shortest distance between 2 points is a line. It's efficient, no need for cars. It's an environmental thing, and once you think about it for a while you can understand how future- forward this is

The end is so ick. Why are they so condescending to Matt, as if he isn't the only one that knows what he's talking about? Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it's stupid... like, they really think they are more clever than the professionals who went to school for this and spent years designing the line city.

That building is the definition of iNNOVATIVE. Understandably it could be a little hard to comprehend since we’ve never seen anything like it before so people are usually unaccepting of new/different things like this. I imagine that’s how people reacted to cars when they were first created or rockets imagine how people reacted to going to space. Even iPhones like “what do you mean no buttons !?” Just sucks not having a foresight tho.

I was also bullied on my school bus. It was 2 girls, I hated sitting at the back of the bus but since our bus picked up kids from 2 schools I would always end up at the back with them. These girls would sit behind me and hit the back of my head, I'm talking punch the back of my head just because I was quiet... so I told the bus driver about it several times but all they did was suspend the girls from the bus for a week and then they were back at it, so I told my VERY Mexican dad about it, and very similar to Mariah's grandpa, he granted me permission to hit back and he'd take care of it if I got in trouble. So the next day I sat again, the first girl punched me, I turned around and punched her right in the nose and grabbed the other one by the hair 😂 it was a mess, I was in 7th grade, I had never been in a fight in MY LIFE, but I was just swinging, pulling and biting. They ended up taking us to the office, my dad and mom were called in and my dad straight up told the principal he gave me permission to defend myself because all they did was suspend the girls from the bus for just one week when they had been openly hitting me for over a month... they got suspended from school, I just got a referral, but no one will take the satisfaction of seeing the bloody nose I gave one of the girls 😂
