Because this is real black music. There is no faking the funk. When the funk is in you all you need is a sound in order to get down when you're feeling low it'll bring you higher than any cup of coffee ever will. This is high vibration music.

I was born in ‘98. This is one of my dad’s favorite groups. Interestingly enough when I was elementary school (at a predominately white school mind you) I went to latchke in the mornings. One of the ladies who worked there used to blast specifically this song every morning. To the point where the other kids would voluntarily put this song on even when she wasn’t there 🤣 great music touches us all!!!

This was one of the songs they used to play at the skating rinks back in the day. It was great because I needed a workout when one skated. The music was designed by the DJ to make one sweat and then come back the following week and do it all over again!! If anyone remembers skating to this, I am with you because I certainly did!! This era was the best for funk!! It seems that every age had a type of music it was famous for!!!

Ain't nothing hit better than some ole classic funk. My dad got me hooked on it. I mean I'm almost 25 so I'm not really young but no one else listens to this music or makes fun of me, and that makes me really sad because I vibe so hard to this. So I currently got my son jamming to is, he is only 3 but he says its dancing music. :)

Back in the early 80's, before my folks found religion (Mom's a minister, dad was a deacon before passing), our house was Ground Zero for the neighborhood "Weed/Cards parties" and two things were guaranteed by the end of the night: 1)Someone was losing their rent money and 2)Somebody was scrappin'. We were on a dead end street so us kids could play outside all night as long as we did our "Check-in yell". Music like this bumped from my Dad's speakers into the street all night. This really was the BEST times in life!

1982. My uncle had the red 73 Chevy Impala with the white vinyl top. He picked us up one day to go to the beach and this song was on, full blast. I will never forget riding around through the hood and all the cats standing outside looked up when we were riding by to see who was playing that jam.
