@@alexfowler9785all Zanpaktou are blank slates at first, only when you obtain enough Reiatsu does your own soul imprint on it creating your unique Zanpaktou, Zaraki got his blade off of a low level Shinigami who likely hadn’t imprinted on his blade yet so it was still empty. Zaraki had enough Reiatsu to imprint on it right away, but ignored it speaking which then caused it to fragment creating Yachiro as he named her which like he said gave her unique abilities as she’s part of him. The fragment likely tried taking a physical form to speak with him, but instead he named her and she kinda just accepted it.

You know... Considering the nature of zanpakuto and assauchi, and the fact there is precedent of zanpakuto other than yachiru to exist with souls independent to their shinigami (eg oetsu). That was/is probably a potential. There's isn't anything i can recall to suggest that Nozarashi can't remanifest in the future, and the whole adult vs child dichotomy she has with Yachiru speaks to a tie to kenny's maturity... That would make one hell of a fight in the hell arc... Honestly I'd love to imagine a fight with a bankai using bankai.

It’s been years since this reveal. I’m surprised people don’t compare Kenpachi to Starrk. Both figures are so strong they managed to split their power into a manifested living being. Kenpachi’s power took on its own form which has its own power. Starrk and Lilonnete were a single being who split into two because they were so strong they suffocated other hollows to death with their power. Not really the same but both are extremely powerful beings who manifest another being just by pure power alone

Makes perfect sense.. like how stark created a companion from his soul,seemingly, unintentionally… we see Keni sitting alone with a fully formed Zanpakto, and know he started with an asouchi he “borrowed” from a fallen reaper… I hadn’t considered the parallels until this video made me think more about the situation and Unhanas words.. he was trying harder to enjoy battles than he was concerned with actually pushing his limitations. He did everything he could to prevent it and his reiotsu was so high he subconsciously manifested this part of himself, but stark seemingly had figured out that part of his existence… probably because he was wasting every other hollow he met until he met Aisen and at least Kenpachi just had an insatiable “bloodlust”… he never seems to feel lonely like stark did either, but he looked that way before his little pink haired “ward” showed up…

Waaait a minute. A zanpakutos name is a parralel to it power. Kenpachi named his blade/her yachiru after the only person he ever admired. The only reason he admired unohana was because she was the only one he saw stronger than himself and since he saw her as stronger than himself then naturally he felt he could not be equal to her, much less use any power when compared to her.

Well the "Zangetsu" is the false Shikai of Ichigo.The White Ichigo is the true form of Zangetsu. The old man is a fragment of Ywach manifested as his quincy bloodline who's supposed to prevent Ichigo's shinigami powers to develop but it did the opposite and Ichigo being whatever hybrid he can be (he is also a full bring(er) like Chad), accepted both powers and was able to wield both as his true shikai with the false Zangetsu becoming the "sheath".

Would love it if I'm the future we get a renewed Bleach of some kind and Zaraki fully fleshes out his Zanpakutou even more to the point Yachiru/Nozarashi isn't a little girl any more but actually just looks like a pink hair Unohana. I mean, Yachiru was able to stand being near Kenpachi at his FULL unleashed power and didn't seem the least bothered, and when Ichigo asked who she was, she looked at Kenpachi. Then we learn she sticks with him most of the time, basically hanging around him similar to what a Zanpakuto might... Also not sure anyone noticed it but during the Rebellious Zanpakuto Arc of the anime, Yachiro looked REALLY out of it and confused, and during that arc I don't think she spoke to Kenny, so it kinda made me wonder "IS she his Zanpakuto, and thus being outside of the sword is why it is always in full release?" then we learn about stark and lilynette and i thought "Yeah she is Zaraki's zanpakuto"... then comes TYBW arc and we all learn about her being his bankai spirit or at least part of them.

I think his zanpaktou’s adult form is just Unohana with Pink hair and blood-maroon eyes. Zaraki is heavily influenced by Unohana and based on the zanpaktou filler ark, we saw how everyone’s sword spirit looks like and we understand why the shinigami’s shikai/bankai looks the way it does when activated. Zaraki’s Shikai activation command is “drink” as instructing a demon to drink blood. When yachiru (wrong spelling English is not my first language) lends Zaraki the power to achieve bankai he just screams. I know his bankai is the least matured but i think this was intentional to signify Zaraki’s true nature as a chaotic demon. I think if his bankai matured a bit we might even hear Yachiru laugh with Zaraki as they can finally enjoy the battle with each other’s company. (I know the zanpaktou’s spirit is the shinigami’s soul or essence manifested don’t come for me 😂)
