Excellent video Zephan, I would like to know how macros are made by pressing a button. Greetings from México

Thanks a lot ! The way you explain how to do macros is the best of all macro tutorial KZbin videos 👌🏼

Great video, Thanks. Question: If I have a weekly podcast with the same co-hosts, Can I save the macros or do I have to re create them every time. Or if I make new macros, how can I go back to previous macros without re creating them from scratch???
@zephanmoses11 ай бұрын
It’s funny you should ask that. I am working on making a video about that right now. You want to open the software control and choose file, save start up State. This saves all of the information about how your switcher starts up every single time you turn it on so that it will have the same settings each time, including macros.

Thanks for the video. How would you make it so you can leave a lower third on until you hit the macro button again?
@zephanmoses2 жыл бұрын
Basically you would just not add the pause and not hit the on or auto button again. You’d turn the keyer on once to bring the graphic on screen, stop the recording and then your macro is good to go.

Can keyboard shortcuts be created to run macros? Or even better remotely trigger a macro from a wireless bluetooth controller?
@zephanmoses Жыл бұрын
You might want a streamdeck for that instead.
@rsmolkin Жыл бұрын
@@zephanmoses Yes, that does seem like a great device, but I'd also like a wireless option so I can walk around the studio and still switch cameras, thought some sort of a bluetooth controller might be useful maybe with AutoHotKey

@@zephanmoses Theoretically that would work yes, but would require looking down, and I'll also be carrying a gimble with my phone mounted in my 2nd hand, so hoping something small with physical buttons I can carry in the other hand...

Hello @Zephan Moses thanks a lot for this video. I'll need your help with this. if i have multiple lower thirds and I want to macro all of them at an event for different sessions, how do I go about that?
@zephanmoses2 жыл бұрын
When recording the macro, you would drag the lower third for that specific macro into either Media Player 1 or Media Player 2 depending on which media player you are using for your lower thirds. So start by recording the macro, drag the image into the media player, go to your down stream keyer and set it to use the media player of choice, then if you want the macro to also include turning the DSK on and off, you'd either click the on air button or the auto DSK button to cut or fade respectively. Then you can use the add pause button to add a pause for however many seconds you want the image to stay on screen, then finally click your auto or on air button again to remove it from the screen.

But you can only do one graphic per macro realistically.

Okay thanks a lot, I'll try use this.

You can do the same to fade music in and out correct?
@zephanmoses2 жыл бұрын
Yes but it's a bit clunkier because you need to set the volume to a certain level, add a pause, then take it down a notch, add a pause, etc. so that it fades out smoothly and isn't just an instant mute switch.
