Honestly, this is one of the most impressive custom UI features I've ever seen in any software. Everyone's ZBrush workstation is usually totally different - It's pretty cool, so I hope this info helps you make the perfect UI :)

I made my custom UI like a few days ago and it really makes everything so much faster and better. Btw, do you gonna make a video tutorials like "make eyelashes" Or etc? Since I really want to know how to make Eyelashes, I haven't found a good way other than using Fibermesh.

I think Zbrush absolutely needs it too, because the hardest part for me about it was making the interface look like something approaching sanity. God, I love the functions and features of this program but I would relentlessly bully the designer of its UI if I had the chance.

Great, fast, to the point. This time you have missed one very useful thing though. You can make your custom menu pop-up under your current cursor location when hotkey is pressed. This makes ZB UI even cooler because apart from positioning buttons around you can have separated menus that pop up on different shortcuts just like the default one when you press space key. Ultra useful.

Should've seen this video a million years ago, instead of fighting against the UI all this time. Awesome video.

Wonderful video, I'm on my 3rd viewing so far! Sharable UI configs seem very cool, and I guess that means it's also easy to switch rapidly between UIs just by yourself. I can see how ZBrush's sculpt-only specialization makes it easier to let the user take over the entire non-canvas area, since there's no need to accommodate other generalized features like in blender etc. Blender does have its own version of this configurability, with tabbed work areas that can look like what you want, and remapping the hot keys, not to mention just the entire UI can be recoded with python. BUT all of that is a lot of work, whereas this ZBrush configurability seems designed to make all the modifications as easy as possible -- all the way down to allowing overlapping buttons. Are you sure that's not a bug though?? Somehow I would expect the ZBrush coders to 'fix' that at some point in the future. In terms of the actual value of making it as easy as possible to configure the UI -- I wonder how valuable it is really. Isn't it something a person will do once, and then never again? Or is it more a question of allowing non-experts to continually tinker and refine their personal systems over the long term? Extremely fascinating to learn about ZBrush in this tight, compact way -- As a non-ZBrush person I definitely wouldn't be watching longer slower tutorials, so this is really my first experience learning what all the fuss is about. Thanks!

I am mainly ZBrush user for many years now, since version 2 of ZB - watching these videos for fun. Plus Royal Skies drops sometimes something I somehow didnt knew or forgot :D I can definitely answer your question about customized menus. First of all your workflow changes over the time and you find different buttons/options more necessary then others in your custom UI. So it constantly evolves even if you are expert. Also with new versions new options are being added - adding some of them to custom UI wasnt option before. Consider that you can add to your UI light setups, materials even scripts or actions... The amount of achievable things is much bigger then just dropping existing button or slider. You can make presets to say have button that sets your slider to certain value... Its just really crazy to what level you can customize ZBrush. Also not mentioned in video - you can create multiple menus that pop-up when hotkey is pressed. Un-freaking-ending possibilities :D So yeah - your UI grows (or shrinks) with you. You constantly find new ways to deal with problem - doesnt matter if you are expert or beginner. Beginners should stick to the default in order to not get overwhelmed by the software imo. The more you know about it - the more you realize how much you can make it "yours".

Hey Royal skies I would love you even more if you could make an anime hair tutorial soon. I’ve been majorly struggling with redoing my character’s hair for anime figure quality but it’s not turning out right when I’m trying to replicate Kaoru Sakaki’s hair for his figures. He mostly uses curves or the bend curve modifiers but I’m still having a hard time with it.
