Hey J, would you ever consider doing another course similar to your Mold3D one where you go over the process of character creation but with updated techniques? I would think the introduction of the Knife Brushes and much improved Zremesh for hard surfaces has changed a good deal of the workflow since then. If not a full length tutorial like that, one generally about specifically hard surface armor modeling for characters with the modern Zbrush tools would be appreciated, thanks!

A clear and concise insight into both the Xgen workflow and the haircards workflow would be incredible! Thank you for what you're doing!

@@artofjhill loool it's cool if you don't want to do haircards, they absolutely suck and I acc prefer doing hair with fibremesh I just wish marmoset had a way of rendering fibremesh to look like hair :)

If using windows there are several alternatives. Epic pen is free for the basic drawing on screen. Another by sysinternals from windows is called zoomitscreenwrite. Epic pen let's you use the ui still during writing. The other basically captures the screen while using it.

nice, it's certainly beautiful to see but the brightness of the texts is too low it pushes people to force to see better 4k or not it's not good for the eyes, it may not be so bad for you since you wear bezel glasses (which makes the text bigger I guess) it makes the workspace look nice but not optimal for long work which is sculpting

You need to have keyshot working and open but the latest versions of Zbrush don’t work with bridge anymore. They moved to redshift and removed support for keyshot bridge

Hey J, I noticed in your video the sphere for the document has a softer shadow. Is this because you have Shadows turned off under the Render/Render Properties? Or do you use Fast rendering mode when sculpting since it also gives a similar effect but changes the material a bit. Just curious!

hey, not sure. if it was the sphere scene, I opened that from lightbox so there may be some scene settings in that. I didn't turn anything on intentionally

I'm on zBrush 2022.0.1. and the config file seems to crash my zbrush. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times but I'm not sure how to pinpoint the issue.

hmm not sure. try not to use the config. just use the ui and colors and save your own config?

zbrush has the worst ui i ever saw lmao most important setup for me (mouse user) was to set a hotkey for zoom to the scrolwheel also assign a shortcut for pan when pressing it...
