Hpi tires are a direct fit since they have shallow hex dish. I have a short vid on 2 s with my son driving it. Also if you can’t get parts for it look into team associated rpm parts work. I only paid 200$ Canadian total for mine so I’m happy with it for that price. The Center diff leaks but I used a gasket kit to fix that. The front and rear diffs are off a bit so under heavy load will cause wear. I’m going to just run it till stuff breaks and fix it on my spare time. Great looking truck, suspension is really good, overkill for what the rest of the truck can handle. Thanks for the video. I’d recommend this to people that are willing to work with the truck. You can get the 120 amp rtr for less that 350$ Canadian. Can’t beat that price

Looks like yours has been the exception so far Vas. Most folks haven't had good results with this truck. Maybe ZD Racing has made some improvements? For what it's worth, I thought the suspension soaked up the big air landings better than most. It didn't seem to bottom out or bounce when hitting the ground. I'm surprised to say the least! Nice first run 👊🏻👊🏻

I've seen guys been landing not that hard and bending the chassis like butter on these. I still kinda like this truck though in the us you can get this for 179.99 and it's the v2 with all aluminum upgrades just super bendable chassis. Good video man 👍

Thank you for this, I'm glad it's turned out alright and not a complete waste of your time, Would of felt a bit guilty it that was the case. I had intentions of picking one up if the review was good but there a lack of spares available for it, It seems like the best idea might be to buy 2 rollers and use one for spares. You can get spur gears and diffs but not much else...

My bro has the RTR version of this and it’s brilliant what’s off putting is the lack of spares for it. We just have to 3D print them off now, which is a shame because it’s an awesome truck.

I bought this car for my son a couple of weeks ago. It arrived broken. The front right upper suspension arm was already broken. After ten days of communicating with BG after sales they refunded me 102 euros so I only paid 138 euros for this car. Anyway the money saved has already gone to buying spare parts. The suspension brakes easily. If you find metal parts for this car, make sure to buy it. Their existence means that the plastic equivalents are not up to standard. So it's best to replace them asap OR it's better to buy the pirates 3 with the metal parts already included. In my speed run with the pirates 2 I achieved topspeed = 42 km/h. The version of the pirates 2 that I have and that's being sold on BG does NOT work with 4s lipo anymore (apparently the older versions from 2 years ago did). Send me a message if you want to know more of my first hand experience with this car.

I wouldn't. The thing is, yeah, it did ok, but I didn't really go hard on it because I was afraid that it would just break. I am going to gear it up a bit and come back for round 2, so we'll see how it goes then. If it can go toe to toe with any of my other MTs, then we have a great bargain, but if it falls apart, then we know to stay away from it. However, it did surprise me on this run, so let's hope it can keep it up.

Have you compared this roller to your OFNA/HoBao rollers? The guys on the ZDRacing facebook group say they are very similar and are upgrading their steering cups/hubs to the OFNA/HoBao units.

Mike's Rc Reviews I added all the parts available for this truck on banggood and it added up to $113.25 total parts including 2 differential rebuild kits (only $5.23 each), 2 Pinot gears ($5.99). Express shipping to Maryland in the US is $16. So I will just keep all these parts in stock. I got the 9116 V3 on Banggood with motor, etc, radio for $227. Add the parts and I am still at only $350 total shipped to me and parts to almost rebuild once.

@@rcplayer7581 thanks for the reply I'm totally bummed that I snapped the motor shaft on my castle 2400kv. I never change the spur gear on it ran fine as long as you mesh the gears just right. I just put the new arrma motor in yesterday an ran it on 3s quick had to head out. Seems to run beautiful. Gonna run a few packs threw it today an get back to ya.

It the only rc I have but been hopping it up for the last 5 years I got everything you can think on it it's now a truggy kinda I got 2.8 tires with the lcg chassis kinda best of both worlds in my backyard. I switch out the tires when I go to my buddy's track for racing. Even non Traxxas fans are absolutely stunned by my truck handling an durability. Like I say it the only one I have for right now so I got alot of tuning an love in her😋. I've made my decision I'm buying the arrma Typhon v4 6s for my next rc with my xmass bonus so the wife doesn't know what I spent on it lolololololol.
