My Nan nearly died of a cough. She beat COVID but still had a lingering cough and at one point coughed so hard she ruptured a muscle near her tailbone, causing blood to rush into her spine. She is doing a lot better but still hasn't fully regained the ability to walk 2 years later.

To add some context a colleague of my mothers ruptured his diaphragm in an allergy-induced sneezing fit. Basically he sneezed and then while sneezing was in immense pain and bowled over. They called an ambulance and in the hospital he was diagnosed and they carted him into emergency surgery immediately. No idea how that even happens, but apparently it does 🤨
