Much as I appreciate the work that Firebox have done, I would really like to be able to make the metal clips myself.

I've only discovered the Zebra brand now, while looking for a better (well, cheaper really) alternative to a small titanium pot. This looks like a decent pot .. Might buy one

Zebra set is very perfect quality in Thailand 🇹🇭 and you know , camping set is very hard to find in Thailand too. That’s a rare item.555555

I'd like to see a video of "clip making," also. It's probably simple, but it doesn't hurt to gave an expert showing the way. Thanks for your videos.

I am visually handicapped, and I am hoping you could make me a pair of the clips? If you'd be willing? I'm not good at fiddly bit work. Looks like you did a good job.

I'd like to see the clips being made, I'm guessing if you already had some to use as a pattern its easier but without isn't it a bit of trial and error? Also what wire do you use? Is it stainless steel?
@PaulBissekerBushcraft7 жыл бұрын
I will do a video soon, yes stainless steel.

Where do you get the metal rob for the clips from Paul?
@PaulBissekerBushcraft7 жыл бұрын
I have some coming from China. It's cheaper to get it from there, Stainless Steel rods. I will do a video when they come.

Thanks Paul, you should sell those clips, I'm about to buy a 14 cm billy and need the metal clips, why Zebra didn't do metal clips in the first place is anyone's guess :-)

How do you make the clips please
@stewartrv7 жыл бұрын
The clips are also supposed to hold on the lid so you can use it as a camp oven. You can put a small wire rack inside and roast or bake stuff, especially with the biggest one. I've seen mods to the lid to attach a small oven thermometer. Other mods are some holes in the inner tray so you can use it to steam veggies or rice. This dude roasts a whole chicken in the 16cm billy. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXO0ooKCbLSbr8U

You are right, Only the 16cm one has a tight fit for the lid i'm sure. The metal clips are all the same. If you make your own they can be shorter for the pot so it will be tight. I bake in my 16cm pot with a rack. Steve over at fireboxstoves does some great stuff with his pots and firebox stoves. Thanks for commenting and link ;)
