Laimbeer played out on the perimeter and often shit 3's. They were super up tempo and fun as hell to watch. Now Zeke got beat up a lot as did a lot of guards in the 80's and 90's but he was doing anything dirty himself. Laimbeer, Mahorn and Rodman were doing all of the dirty work. Zeke was a showman, plain and simple. He was a flashy PG that could get hot and take over games. Was he a competitor? Hell yes he was, but the way the media portrayed him was false. Peace

Kobe said it best. Scottie Pippen is a defensive genius. Once he broke down in detail how Scottie plays, I understood what Scottie brought to the team. It's not just scoring. They had the best scorer, the best defender and best rebounder of that era in one team.😂

I am the biggest Isiah Thomas fan but I totally disagree with his statement. Pippen wasn't ANYWHERE near the best defender in NBA history. From 1970 to the current era, these IN THIS order were the best man to man defenders in the NBA that I saw: 1-Dennis Rodman-the most athletic player in NBA history. 2-Mookie Blalock-the best on the ball defender I saw as a small guard and that's saying something since Maurice Cheeks was dominant before him 3-Hakeem Olajuwon -a center who had the agility to protect the rim while playing the passing lanes and long arms to steal the ball from guards 4-Dennis Johnson -prior to his Boston years was as athletic as Sidney Moncrief who could lock you down. 5-Bobby Jones- the reason the Sixers in 1980 reached the Finals because he limited the rookie Larry Bird into misery on a Boston team that had the best record in the NBA. Scottie Pippen used to get dogged by slow Adrian Dantley and those head pump fakes over and over. Go back and look at Game 7 in the 2000 WCF when Portland blew a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter and watch how 4th year guard Kobe Bryant dominated him in that rally and how Pippen was scoreless in the 4th quarter because he was getting abused defensively.
