This is what I think. Bongo Bongo was indeed a Sheikah and is directly tied to the Shadow Temple's history. I believe that he was originally in charge of the Temple. Its warden or head inquisitor, whichever you prefer. For years, he carried out his grisly duties for the Royal Family with stoic determination. But, overtime, these gruesome acts began to eat away at his sanity until they ceased being distasteful but necessary in his mind and became enjoyable for him. It eventually got to a point that the Royal Family was no longer providing enough prisoners to satisfy his new perversion and so he created his own private torture dungeon under his house and began capturing random citizens. Once this was discovered, Impa personally arrested the traitor and executed him in his own dungeon before flooding the entire complex to bury this shameful chapter in her tribe's history. And it is there he remained until Ganondorf reached out to his tortured spirit and offered him the chance to return to the world of the living to indulge in his sick pleasures once again in exchange for serving as one of the Gerudo King's generals.

It seems the most plausible and that Impa sensed Ganondorf was reaching out to him too which is why she sealed off the entrance to the well. If you go to Kakariko well before bongo's seal is broken as an adult, there is an extra wall blocking the entrance that wasn't there before.

It’s a bit too unnecessarily dark fan-fiction parts for me, though fine to throw out some own mini theories. But to me the shadow temple was mainly an prison/execution chamber for pow's/captured enemies, and perhaps if bongo was also extents what this video claims then; bongo was a powerful sheikah sorcerer, which then also dabbled in necromancy, and was using it to resurrect the dead back to life ie the redeads - experiments for the research and use of royal family and/or of his own, to the dismay of Impa. This was a twisted, forbidden use of sheikah magic for necromancy/zombie creating - via with pow’s/many captured if not all of them, and perhaps even intentionally captured and killed innocent people, just to keep practicing and doing the twisted experiments of his by orders of royal family research and his own accord. Discovering of these horrifying experiments and use of sheikah magic going on, where bongo impulsively, excessively did this, killing off and even capturing/executing innocent people for experimentation - dismayed Impa found out and had bongo arrested/captured, then gave him then death penalty and executed him for his uncovered crimes, only for him to carry on living after it as his own undead entity due to being a sorcerer/his own dark magic, spell and influence of his own necromancer sorcery.

If Bongo Bongo was indeed a member of the Sheikah, in a way that would make him and any other sheikah who followed him the first ever Yiga in the timeline. Sure, we didn't get an official name for a clan of evil Sheikah until BoTW but the roots for it definitely run deep in Hyrule's history.

*A lot of people think under the well was a prison and torture chamber. But I believe it is a living nightmare, infested with ghosts that cannot pass on. Haunted by their futile loss of life. The spirit boat through the river of fog is a perfect example. Why would there by a spirit boat in a prison? I believe a captured soul is a perfect depiction of a nightmare for those passed on.*

Konrad I feel what you said at the end of the video about the missing OOT game after the events of Majora's Mask 🎭 hmmm that would be an interesting game, Bongo Bongo as the Final Boss, and Ganondorf was never sealed. But what would the subtitles be to this game called? I'm guessing " The Legend of Zelda: Lens of Truth 🔍"

@Elementianhero22
@Elementianhero22 3 ай бұрын
Probably similar to the House of Skulltula. In my mind, the Oceanside Spider House in MM was originally planned to be in OoT as the Skulltula house, because most of Kakariko's important buildings have elaborate structures underground. The above-ground interior portion of the House of Skulltula looks a lot like the Heart Piece chamber in the OSH. It was cut when Ura Zelda and Zelda Gaiden (unmade expansions for OoT on the N64DD) were changed to MM due to the time constraints.

If you look at the "head with two arms but no body" it is a representation of a person in a pillory (the stocks? stockade? there's a bunch of names for similar setups) where their head and hands are put through a board that is hinged to open and close around the wrists and neck to hold them in place usually in public as punishment for something. You see it in movies and tv where their crimes will be posted and other people throw rotten food and stuff at them.
@lordravenblade
@lordravenblade 10 күн бұрын
Oh huh, later on when the dude is in the guillotine that's basically what I'm talking about. Except the pillory is usually just for a short time for minor crimes rather than to hold someone for execution.
@lordravenblade
@lordravenblade 10 күн бұрын
I guess I mean it doesn't hold them DURING the execution because now that I think about it I don't know if its a movie thing or a real life thing but people at least in movies are held in them for public ridicule while waiting for the day of their execution in some cases.

I don't buy it. You didn't use the slightest shred of evidence that the man whose house stood where the well is and the Phantom Shadow Beast are the same entity. As for Impa throwing the Gerudo out of Kakariko Village, it simply means that at some point, they invaded. A defector or inside aide is not required for this to happen. Look what happened to Castle Town after Ganondorf got the Triforce of Power. Furthermore, aside from Ganondorf, has there been any character who willingly became a demon/monster for either revenge or power? To my knowledge, no, except perhaps for Vaati. Any that could be named was either accidental or unwilling. There are two cases that were accidental corruption, which are Darbus (Fyrus) and Yeta (Blizzeta), who were both changed by Twili relics. Linebeck and Chancellor Cole were both possessed, but even though he was trying to resurrect Malladus, Cole ultimately became the unwilling vessel that the demon king inhabited. While I do know that Ganon uses Yuga as a means to come back, I do not know that story well enough to say whether Yuga was a willing participant. I can agree that it is not unreasonable for the one who created the Lens of Truth to have had a creepy basement to hide it in, which later became the well. This doesn't mean that he and Bongo Bongo are the same, though, and he also might not have created that mini dungeon either. I mean, I highly doubt Mrs Marie created the labyrinth under her private cabana to hide a Triforce chart. I have to be honest in saying that it has been quite some time since I watched one of your theory videos. I used to watch quite frequently, but stopped because more often than not it felt like they were heavily influenced by Hyrule Total War, much like this one seems to be.

It is just/part of a presented theory, but I think most of what the video presents can make sense. And some of the connections and ties are that the well and house of the described person use to coincide, then we fine actual sheikah related relics underneath said location, and later on this location was where bongo was sealed/emerges out from during the events of the game. Most of content and context I vibe with personally. And there’s some laid out relates lore, hints of Bongo’s potential identify/connections with being sheikah and related items, locations/places, and with other games in the series as mentioned ie of been other potential/actual defectors of future and past. But it could also not be, and perhaps it was just a resident of kakariko whom was their own sort of necromancy/sorcery practitioner whom also either got hold of, created, keeper of the sheikah relics hidden down in the well/basement place. And he may or may not been found out for crime, and then died by execution or naturally, but his dark necromancy/sorcery use, perhaps with a personal spell/curse, had brought them back and continued as an afterlife entity that was bongo as unfolded within the game.

Guy with a house who has an eye who could see the truth, his house replaced with a one eyed dark master sealed in a well, who needs the eye of truth to see, seems like an ironic curse, the kind of thing a lot of writers seem to love.

@Elementianhero22
@Elementianhero22 3 ай бұрын
Sheik isn't Albino. He's blond. And before you say, "But Sheik is Zelda!" I know that. Sheik was a real person before the events of OoT (my headcanon is that he's Impa's deceased son) and Impa gave 'his mask' (probably a mask of truth) to Zelda to hide her in plain sight during the Future that Never Was. More evidence of this is the Transformation masks in MM. Goron and Zora Link don't get Link's blond hair, and FD has white hair. The mask changes Link's form into that of its previous living form, that of the Deku Butler's son, Darmani, Mikau and the Fierce Deity. Impa in SS is also not albino. She has white-blonde hair.
