Zelda wasn't killing those guardians. The game says that the sheikah researchers were able to find a small amount of guardians under the castle and restore their functions. Ganon's return caused the pillars around the castle to emerge, spilling forth thousands of guardians that weren't restored yet. The likelihood of the guardians in the memory being those few that the sheikah restored is low, so without Ganon's malice powering them, they will just slump and power down. Zelda wasn't killed them, just FORCING Ganon's malice out

The second the threat was gone due to Zelda's magic he collapsed because all strength left him. He probably wouldn't have lasted much longer either way.

This was very interesting & a good video, but i just don’t feel like Zelda’s power is what killed Link. Link was already on the verge of death; he was doing all that he could to stay conscious and protect Zelda. At the point where she blasts the guardians, perhaps Link, seeing that Zelda had managed to protect herself, finally let himself give way to his exhaustion.

Maybe the resurrection shrine was for the Zelda's mother, the queen; they knew calamity Ganon was coming back and if Zelda wasn't ready, they would try to resurrect the queen, as she had the necessary powers to seal him. However it seems like the shrine wasn't perfected yet, since it took so long to bring Link back. Idk, Maybe the hand we see holding Ganondorf down in the trailer, is the dead queen's hand, probably she died like that, holding him back. We never hear anything about her, just that she died early.

Her monks prepared the numerous shrines to test the future hero's mettle - to train him after his fall so that he had what it took to tackle Ganon and win!

Liam da Lemon! In AtLA//LoK, the Water Tribes can heal, without being the Avatar. (And even the Fire Benders can sense when Chi paths/Chakras are messed up, and can fix them.) [As well, Korra used Earth/Metal Bending to remove the Mercury from her body.] The ONLY Bending style we don't see have some "healing" ability is Air Bending, or maybe there is something, the Spiritual healing processes???

I think Zelda wasn't focused on sealing away the guardians at the time, unlike she does with Ganon. She was just focused on protecting link. So she destroyed all the guardians. But because she hadn't used this power before, she couldn't control it as much, leading to links " death"

In my opinion, Zelda didn't truly believe in the power that was within her. She believed in the science and technology that was around her. She even believed that there should have been a way to bypass the shrines and to get into them even when they weren't active. She didn't want to be the princess with some magical power, she wanted to be a scientist.

Link was only standing because of pure adrenaline. His body didn’t let him stop. Then, when Zelda killed the guardians, his injuries caught up for him and he collapsed. It is often seen that people gain huge amounts of strength to save loved ones. Links body used it’s last reserves of strength to save Zelda and himself, but then he was like welp she got this ima head out now

There is a lot here that I disagree with. First, Zelda didn't "kill" Link with that Light Force blast. Notice how it is both night time and it is raining? Link could just have easily been too cold due to the weather, which would have slowly drained the last of his heart(s) while Zelda was unlocking her power to "save him". Next, Zelda's father is not a "bad dad" for putting pressure on her to unlock her power. He trusts that his daughter would eventually unlock her power, and his constant pressure is there to help keep Zelda focused on the task at hand (read his diary for further proof of this)! In a previous cut-scene, we see Zelda's father scold her for losing focus on her training (as we can see from Zelda's fascination with the Guardians), and although his parenting is fairly strict, it works, and is put back on the task of unlocking her power. Also, if it weren't for Zelda's father forcing her to leave the castle (in order to attempt the unlocking prayer at the Spring of Wisdom), Zelda, Link, and the rest of the Champions would have been caught up in the devastation of Hyrule Castle and Hyrule Castle Town! Finally, Zelda's power is not simply linked to her own willpower, it is linked to her emotions (especially her emotions towards Link)! In the cut-scene depicted at the base of Mt. Lanayru, Mipha basically tries to spell it out for Zelda (and the player). Before Mipha is interrupted by the return of Calamity Ganon, she states that when she is using her healing powers, it helps when she tries to think about (blank). We never get to hear what she was going to say, but we can infer that Mipha was talking about the emotion of LOVE (as in her love for Link). This is WHY we see Zelda's power activate when it does! It is Zelda's love for Link that drove her to stand between him and the Guardian, and unleash that Light Force blast!! (On a final note: I have played LoZ:MC, and MaksedNintendoBandit's synopsis of the game's events was correct, for the most part. However, LoZ:MC was released long before LoZ:SS, and this was the first time there was a "name" given to Zelda's power (i.e. the Light Force). It was only later on, when LoZ:SS was released, did we the player learn that this "Light Force" was actually the power of the Goddess Hylia! Also, it never really made sense that Zelda would have the Light Force (and not Rauru), since Rauru was the Sage of Light in LoZ:OoT.)

In creating a champion, it says Gannon flushed out the sheika power and replaced it with his own so the guardians would still be “dead”. Still, I loved the theory!

I think the answer is simple. Each part of the Triforce has different powers. Wisdom has Sealing and Repulsion, which she uses against Ganon. Against the Guardians she uses the Power part of the Triforce to destroy them (and maybe Link with them).

i'd say Intention is also a massive part of getting it to work correctly from playing the game and watching the cut scenes she need to pair her will with a specific intention or it either doesn't work or we get an "oopsie i accidentally killed the hero" moment because she wasn't specific enough in her desire for the Guardians to be stopped and instead went for a general "Stop/Die"

I am here to back up the theory of the light force. So zelda is a decendent of the goddesses, who created the world we play on. Zelda has this light force and can use it to vanish the darkness. Vati wanted it so zelda couldn't stop it and so he had unlimited power. Also zelda turned to stone when he drains it and it might have something to do with the master sword as it is the sword of light.

I know this is all in good fun, but gotta say the theory that she also ‘hurt’ Link with the power is silly lol the power she was wielding was aimed at Malice. That’s why when she attacked Ganon at the end, she completely wiped him out. He was all malice at that point, as the game said. That’s why the guardians shut down. The divine beasts being cleansed of the malice by Link and Zelda ‘cleansing’ guardians don’t seem to be the same since the power and methods used aren’t the same.

Minish cap was my first Zelda game and itseasily my favourite. The art style is beautiful and fun, it's easy to get the hang of, and the storyline is everything, I'd definitely recommend playing it!!! Great video Bandit! Minish Cap was awesome! Fighting Vaati... tough but so much fun! You should try it! Here is a thought: What if Zelda contains the complete Triforce... I'm sure you noticed her hand, where the three Triforce pieces lit up just before her power 'blast'? In other Zelda games, only one piece usually lights up... One for Link one - courage, one for Gannondorf - power and one for Zelda - wisdom! Perhaps in BoTW, Zelda because she has infinite power of light through her bloodline, actually has access to the complete Triforce... Just a thought! On a final note: I hope Nintendo remakes Minish Cap in the style of Link's Awakening (or a paper Mario format)... Now that would be AWESOME!

1) Zelda is a heliokinetic. She can control light. Moving in and out of it, moving people and object in and out of it, using it as a weapon, etc. 2) I believe the Shrine of Resurrection was Sheikah tech built to keep the Sheikah from dying. The test subject for many of their technologies was none other than Ganondorf. He was the first test subject to use the Shrine of Resurrection. Yes, I believe the Sheikah unwittingly brought back a dead Ganondorf, tested other technologies on him, leading to his consciousness to merge with their technology, leading to the first Calamity and every subsequent Calamity to come. After Calamity Ganon was fully defeated, his consciousness returns to his original body, which happens to be in a Beta version of the Sheikah Mummification Chamber.

Age of Calamity also seems to support this. Zelda says "I exert my will" when she has awakened her sealing powers.

To add to your list of powers as requested, in Twilight Princess she exhibits Life Manipulation (or however you want to term it) when she fully revives Midna with her own essence before vanishing. So here in this scene, if she willed even something so general as "stop" hard enough at the Guardians...since she had no control/experience, it makes sense it could have forced Link to quite totally stop as she pushed the life out of everything around her.

Link just fainted, not died as he still has some vital signs that Fi, the master swords spirit, senses and tells zelda to have him sent to the resurrection chamber

I would imagine that Zelda's magic isn't all over the place, it's just that Hylia's bloodline manifests in different ways in different princesses. ALttP Zelda got saddled with only telepathy. OoT Zelda got to ability to freeze things in place. BotW Zelda got the ability to repell malice. It probably manifests in a single power that is most useful for the crisis at hand when it manifests.

Also all that debris flying up during the light-blast seems to indicate that there was a sizable shock wave; enough to lift sizable dirt lumps upwards. Link was in a pretty bad shape (internal bleeding as well, perhaps?), a blast like that could've done him in.

Zelda's sealing power seals the "Darkness". Link is not part of the "Darkness" but he holds the part of the Triforce of courage.

Here's a theory/video idea. What if the goal in Botw2 is to get Zelda's powers back. That way she won't be broken and once she has her powers she can make you some light arrows so you can fight Ganondorf.
