You ask where triforce is and i raise you a theory, botw and totk are an alternative universe from the “traditional” zelda games. This explains why zonai decend from the heavens instead of hylians. The triforce which is the omnipotent power of the gods, is just a symbol now. The master sword is inferior to other master sword because it has a limited use. This is the reason zora and rito exist at the same time, and finally, why did rauru found the kingdom of hyrule instead of Zelda/Link in skyward sword? Answer? Because in this timeline, skyward sword never happened. THIS could be how Nintendo is resetting the Zeldas timeline without erasing the last one. (I’d be honored if this made it on rtym!)

Yet the power of each third of the Triforce was not enough to protect the dragons from being infected by Malice. We also have 3 dragons as guardians all the way back in Skyward Sword. Though handing the pieces of the Triforce to those dragons for protection isn't unreasonable.

There's a rumor that BOTW and TOTK are the first two parts of a trilogy. They point out that each of the Golden Goddesses that created the Triforce are associated with a particular color; Din with red, Nayru with blue, and Farore with green. Blue is the predominant color for BOTW and green is the same for TOTK, so the third game would have red as its predominant color. If that's true, maybe we'll see a reemergence of the Triforce in the third game. Hell, it's even possible that the Triforce could be the source of the sealing power both Rauru and Zelda have. Possibly even the source of all the powers that are amplified by Zonai Secret Stones (which are shaped suspiciously like the Amber and Dark Relics from Skyward Sword).

I think that it is intended that Zelda has the complete Triforce. I mean you straight up see the complete Triforce in BOTW when Zelda uses her power and it's in TOTK seen on Zelda's hand in the vision of her restoring the master sword. Note that this symbol shows all THREE segments present, not just one. This, to me, indicates that she has the complete Triforce and not just one part like in other games. We also never see the symbol of either the Triforce of courage or power with Link or Ganondorf, which you would expect to see if they possessed a piece. I also like the way that this theory implies that Zelda herself is a living embodiment of the Sacred Realm as she contains the Triforce, which contributes to how the Triforce contained within her family line is seen as a "Sacred Power".

When Zelda uses her "Sealing Power" to vanquish Ganon away she's actually using the full Triforce as proven at the end of Breath of the Wild.

Also worth noting was when Rauru used his powers, he had a third eye on his forehead and would place his hands in a position to form a triangle. All of this makes me think that the magic being used is drawing from the triforce... wherever it is... and it may be less of a physical object at this point and more of an energy within the world that certain people are able to draw from or tap into.

I can answer that question. BOTW/TOTK are not a part of the main timeline. Rather they run parallel to the main timeline, however unlike the main timeline, it’s not cursed with a timeline split; meaning any and all games that took place in the main timeline took place here in a more chronological (??) order, and with slightly different variables and outcomes. But now to answer where the Triforce is. Where is it? I think the answer is pretty obvious, when you take into consideration HOW this parallel timeline was created. There is only one possible scenario where this could occur, and that is the past timeline in Skyward Sword. Specifically the one that was created when Link defeats Demise in the past, and leaves for the present. With Demise defeated, there’s no need for Ghirahim to kidnap Zelda, Link never finds the Goddess Sword, he never goes on his grand adventure, AND HE NEVER DISCOVERS THE TRIFORCE IN THE SKY ISLANDS. (Ever find it funny how the Goddess Sword AND the Master Sword are in the same game as two different swords, when they’re both canonically the SAME SWORD?? (In TOTK))

Allowing the knowledge of the Triforce to be erased from the collective memory of Hyrule does make sense. I believe the knowledge of the Triforce has simply faded from memory and history. Even the "Past" events of the games, when Gannondorf was sealed, is likely hundreds or thousands of years after the last time any of his previous incarnations sought after it. In all of the previous games the Triforce was still a known and remembered relic, and Ganondorf in those games knew of it's existence. Most of the previous games involved only one or two incarnations of Ganon, as he was typically only sealed away in most of them, and rarely was he fully killed. So every time Ganon returned, he still retained his memory of the Triforce, even if others knew very little of it's existence. So in this case, this is a brand new incarnation of Ganon, who wouldn't have memories and knowledge of the Triforce automatically, and now the Triforce is pretty much forgotten about, so he has no reason to pursue something he doesn't know about.

i really think there's gonna be a third installment in a few years to complete a trilogy, and on that third installment the triforce will play an important part. my theory is that koume and kotake are still alive (or spirits? or maintained alive through magic? kinda like purah and her age reversal tech?) and they'll use the triforce to revive ganondorf on the third installment. and gameplay-wise, my theory is that that third installment's main gimmick will be magic masks (maybe the ancient hero's aspect is foreshadowing of this, kinda like how the master cycle zero in botw was foreshadowing for totk, i mean, link does completely transform when wearing this, maybe majora's mask gimmicks of transforming into other races will be part of this returning magic mask gimmick). Also in the totk flashbacks, koume and kotake are wearing golden MASKS. and to add to all of this, i speculate that magic musical instruments might come back too? and we'll be able to change the weather with it together with other magical musical abilities. but again, this is all my speculations and theories, would be awesome. but who knows?

Something I want to point out is that Link definitely doesn’t have the Triforce of Courage here. Ganondorf showed that the Triforce grants you pseudo-immortality and can prevent fatal blows in TP. Link definitely died/was extremely close to death and needed the Shrine of Resurrection to heal himself. If he had the Triforce, he should have been able to survive the assault of the Guardians. You could argue that the reason he didn’t is because of the differences between Power and Courage but they both augment and enhance the wielders abilities. It feels weird to me that one would grant immortality while the other doesn’t, especially since they should both hold the same amount of strength. Secondly, in TP again, the start of the game shows Link being smacked in the back of the head and left at the Ordon Spring. King Bulbin decided to kidnap the kids at Ordon, but just chose to left Link. Why is that? It makes me think that the reason he didn’t is because he assumed that the Bulbin already killed Link. This can show how the Triforce saved Link’s life after a fatal blow. I know the Manga’s aren’t canon, but the TP Manga chose to run with this idea as well, since Link was clearly show to be very badly injured during this fight, and it was shown that the Triforce saved his life and healed him. It would also narratively contrast Link with Ganondorf well, since it shows both of them being saved by the Power of the Gods they possess.

Zelda either has the entire Triforce in her possession and just doesn't refer to it or know it by the name "Triforce", perhaps only as the "Sacred Power"..... or the Triforce is located somewhere else entirely (Sacred Realm) and she is acting as a mediator, with the bloodline of the Goddess Hylia passed down through her family enabling her to access its powers like some sort of key, you know.

My personal headcanon is that someone used the triforce to erase all knowledge of itself. Probably a previous Zelda. It would leave it as nothing more than a design related to the royal family, thus stopping people from actively looking for it. Then even if the pieces did attach themselves to people like with the usual trio, they wouldn't see it as anything other than a symbol that appears when they use whatever power it gave them. Because even it if did pass into legend and was forgotten, there would eventually be someone who comes across a written record and starts up the search all over again. Unless you magically erase all that knowledge, with the possible exception of beings like the Dragons.

My theory is that the arrival of the Zonai played a large role in the disappearance of the Triforce from memory. If you follow the refounding theory, when the Zonai arrived from wherever they came from, they’d have likely wanted to secure their rule as the leaders of Hyrule and thus would have had incentive to try and erase the previous Hylian royal family and their legacy, seen in older Zelda games from memory. Rauru’s ancestors may have actively destroyed all mention of the triforce and any relics/documents from the era of myth to secure their control. Especially as a lot of it links the older Hylian royals to Hylia herself and portrays them as the rightful leaders of Hyrule rather than the Zonai. This also explains why Rauru and Sonia have never heard of the name Zelda or Link as all evidence of their previous incarnations, aside from myths and stories, had been purposely lost. (Feel free to let me know what you think about this!)
@obits3 Жыл бұрын
Not sure if they actually have it, but the power of the Tri-force was likely used to restore Zelda: Link is still clearly Courage. Sonia says she shares a blood connection with Zeldla. Sonia also declaires that Widsom takes time and Rauru says it is hard to keep things fro Sonia. She's Wisdom. Rauru demonstrates overwhelming power in one memory and goes head to head with the demon king. His arm also gives the "power to create" and he is King, the ultimate in political power. Rauru is the element of Power. These three came together to restore Zelda.
@javiervasquez625 Жыл бұрын
The Triforce was _inside_ Zelda during the scene yet it's possible that the "spiritual" connection between Link's Courage, Sonia's Wisdom and Rauru's Power may have somehow "awakened" the Triforce from within Zelda granting them their desire (or wish) for Zelda to regain her human self.

I had an idea that builds off of yours. The triforce has always either been sealed, taken, or held by those that represent it most. What if something happened that made the triforce even less physical than ever to the point where it is always changing hands to be held by whoever represents the virtues most at any given time? So when Sonia and Rauru intervened and zelda had lost her mind and ganon defeated Sonia, Rauru and Link were the ones in hyrule who represented them most allowing them the use of the full triforce for a little while until it changed hands again. thanks for coming to my ted talk I would love to hear peoples thoughts
@javiervasquez625 Жыл бұрын
@@NatetheSensitivePlant A possibility worth indulging for the sake of conversation but not a very convincing scenario due to the clear impotence that both Rauru and Link shared in their fight against Ganondorf. Considering the _omnipotent_ nature of the Triforce it wouldn't make any sense for either Link or Rauru not to have the power to wish Ganondorf away from existence by simply asking the Triforce to grant them their wish and be done with him altogether. Since neither Link or Rauru ever depict such a power in their graps it's more than likely they neither is in possession of the Triforce during the events of the game. PS: In the case of Zelda been the one carrying the Triforce _inside_ of her one can argue the reason why she doesn't display the power to command it to her heart's content is because the Triforce is _locked_ within her body after "some else" wished to the Triforce to dwell within Hylia's bloodline to prevent villains from ever learning of it's existence and repeat the tragedies commited in the past (Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, etc.).

@@NatetheSensitivePlant It's because Zelda does not _possess_ the Triforce like one would normally would but instead carries it as a _vessel_ after the last owner of the Triforce *WISHED* for it to be locked inside the many princesses of the Royal Family for the sole purpose of erasing it's existence from History and so _permanently_ prevent any more tragedies like those commited by Ganondorf across the timeline to EVER repeat again. Put simply some past ancestor of Zelda from before Rauru's marriage with Sonia wished the Triforce to _forever_ remain hidden inside the descendants of Hylia with the limited ability to wield the omnipotent power in moments of dire need to ensure it's true nature would never be known by the world to kickstart the wars all over again. There's a very convincing video about the subject by the channel @Monster Maze which you MUST watch to understand why it's extremely likely that the full Triforce dwells within Zelda and the reason why she doesn't have full control over it. Somebody wished on the triforce that the triforce would be forgotten by everyone? Or maybe the sacred stones are themselves pieces of the triforce. But really what I want to know is assuming the dragon tear memories take place after the age of legends (and i do wonder if that is a safe assumption) then what is going on with the Sheikah eye symbol being the literal Zonai eye even though the symbol existed way before we know the zonai did? Were the zonai in the background from way before skyward sword? Did the sheikah become the zonai somehow and then through breeding with hylians turn back into humans? I mean there must be some connection between the zonai and sheikah...
@Llortnerof Жыл бұрын
Possible. We know from Between Worlds that removing the triforce itself is not an option, but putting it somewhere inaccessible and removing knowledge would work just fine. The Zonai eye is a bit different, though. Enough so that it could simply be convergent "evolution", both groups having similar icons by mere chance.

In the memories, in either the first meeting or in another early memory when Zelda was first getting acquainted with Rauru and Sonia, I got a major vibe of TMC's Picori and the "gift" of the "light force" that they left with the royal family. I get the impression from the way TotK handled things that Nintendo did a full reboot and only BotW and TotK are canon now (which would simplify things for your question since Rauru and Sonia's founding of the kingdom could then be taken at face value instead of needing to make room for an earlier kingdom in a different era), but the setup with Rauru and Sonia feels like a reinvention of that bit of TMC's lore. Just replace the Picori with Zonai in the new canon, and recontextualize the "light force" as hereditary "sage of light" powers. The "gift" is then about ancestry instead of being some obscure relic that was handed off. (Granted, TotK does leave that as an apparent plot hole. Rauru and Sonia have to have produced at least one child to start the royal lineage that leads to Zelda. But we saw no child, and...) I don't know what to say about the Sheikah with this train of thought... Something about a servant class who worked for the Zonai, maybe? I think Sonia was supposed to be some sort of high priestess before the marriage made her a queen? Just a random thought but what if the Sheikah order grew out of whatever religious order Sonia came from? People who already lived their lives in devotion to Hylia or whoever else, and then these real live gods came to them and their high priestess marries one of the gods. Sounds like enough to reshape what the order stands for, creating an order dedicated to protecting the divine heritage of the royal family spawned from that union. Hmmm.... What would be the Yiga's story then? Imagine that Sonia's order fractures as some of them may have seen the worship of the Zonai "false gods" (and their abomination of a royal family) as blasphemy... How do they end up effectively worshiping a false god of their own then? Their god is the usurper whose dark power came from stealing a powerful Zonai artifact. That should be blasphemy to their original faith too.

Nintendo had stated to change up some of the dynamics of the Zelda franchise and with BOTW and TOTK we have seen such changes. From missing the 8 big dungeons to the triforce and some other changes. The complete triforce is within the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia, Zelda. You can see the 3 pieces on her hand when she uses her divine power. When the triforce is split, only one piece would show up on the hand of those holding a piece. In several other games it is also referred that the complete triforce had been in hands of the kingdom in occasions and later split into 3 pieces (First 2 games). So we have seen the triforce being hidden, being split and being in complete possession of the kingdom/Zelda along the franchise. Great video, well put together and appreciate the jokes. Very entertaining to watch, thanks for the works.

Well, the princess has it. The "sealing power" she was trying to awaken was the wish of the Triforce. The springs were meant to bring her into balance, and therefore capable of using it. When she uses it, the full Triforce appears on her hand, not just the Wisdom piece. The full Triforce was also shown healing the Master Sword. She has it, it's in her. Her mother had it before her, and her mother before that, most likely. It's called a "sealing power" because that's what generations of princesses and queens were trained to wish for. They may not even know it is a wish or that they could do anything else with the wish. They were just trained generation after generation to seal Ganon. Don't believe me? You should pay very close attention to the ending of The Adventure of Link, and what led up to it. ;)

It's likely that the Royal Family of the past hid the Triforce inside their bloodline for the very purpose of preventing it's existence to convince any Evil being (Ganondorf, Yuga, the Interlopers, other kingdoms, etc.) from killing and destroying in their mad attempts to obtain it. By hiding the Triforce inside Hylia's descendants and then _erasing_ it's existence from the eons of History the Royal Family has permanently prevented any past games from EVER repeating themselves again.

Then when they said they amplified the powers of whoever held them, I wondered if maybe the triforce of power had been shattered, similar to parts of the triforce being shattered in OG Zelda and Windwaker. If the triforce of power was shattered and spread among the Zonai for protection (with three of them swallowing their pieces) then maybe only the shards of power remain with the complete triforce seemingly disappearing as it will never be complete again. I personally am a fan of the Zelda has the Triforce theory. Though it’s symbol has been used to represent magic, the way Zelda’s does is specifically on the back of her hand just below her knuckles. The same place it usually is when someone possesses it. On a different topic, I wonder what that cloudy, dream-like Astral Plane is. It feels almost identical to the realm OoT Zelda and Link were in before Zelda sent Link back through time. (TotK Zelda sadly could never) I wonder if that is what the Sacred Realm is. It’s obvious it takes different forms, like the Temple of Light is housed there as the Chamber of Sages, whereas another part of the Sacred Realm was where Ganondorf was briefly sealed in two timelines. Yet, still, the Sacred Realm seems to resemble the sky islands in A Link Between Worlds and we do see vague silhouettes of Hyrule in the background. So much theory fodder!

I have a theory - could be super wrong but hey, that's what makes theories fun Also just gonna throw in here, major spoilers for the whole game. This is also really long and I'm only partially sorry for that lmao ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I think Zelda has the entire Tri-Force and has been unknowingly keeping it safe. We saw her hand light up with the symbol in BOTW when she saves Link's life (and then later with the Master Sword Memory). Then, that same Zelda goes back in time in TOTK to the beginning of Hyrule, tens of thousands of years - before anyone knew about the Tri-Force. She then turns into an immortal dragon, sealing away the Tri-Force, herself and the Master Sword until present day Hyrule and Link, who can save them all. I'm very shaky on the OG early timeline for when Hylia sacrificed her immortality for her reincarnations in Zelda - but if that happened after the founding of Hyrule, then that could mean that Ganondorf never learned about the Tri-Force; he only met Zelda the Hylian, Distant Cousin of Sonia, a handful of times before the end of the Imprisoning War, and Zelda herself seems to have no awareness of the Tri-Force or her, Link and Ganondorf's connection to it. What better way to protect the Tri-Force than to seal it away in an immortal dragon flying above the cloud barrier for thousands of years? What if Hylia's choice to become mortal was a result of everything that happened during the Imprisoning War, wanting to further try to help protect Hyrule after the former 'gods' - the Zonai - died out along with their Secret Stones? (Major sidenote but I'm still foaming at the mouth for more information about the Zonai. How and why were Mineru and Rauru the last of their people? Wtf happened to them and is it related to the dragons, both living and dead? Nintendo, I'm t-posing outside your offices, please give me answers) Also in TOTK's timeline, Rauru and Sonia are the first of the Hyrule Royal Family. Hylia may've given their successors access to the Tri-Force as a way to try and counteract the loss of the Secret Stones and the ever-present evil that was Ganondorf cooking under the castle. This could further explain how and why Zelda, Link and Ganondorf would continue to reincarnate, and why this Ganondorf remained so focused on the Secret Stones instead of the Tri-Force; he never knew it existed in the first place. A major hole in this is that the Tri-Force motif seen on the Archaic Tunic and other Zonai clothing seen in the Memories, bc that implies that the Zonai were aware of the Tri-Force to some extent. My other kinda vague-not-fleshed-out theory is the Zonai were somehow direct descendants of the gods; demi-gods and powerful by their own right. Then after the Fall of the Zonai/the Imprisoning War, Hylia decided to take matters on more directly and with that decision, brought the knowledge of the Tri-Force to the rest of Hyrule too. If the Zonai were originally children of gods and knew about the Tri-Force that way, then it could also explain the motif on Zonai clothing. A popular theory I've seen thrown around and personally accepted as plausible is TOTK seems to be trying to converge all the other timelines and establishing this one as The Timeline going forward, so I've spent a lot of time thinking how the game designers and writers could've tried to take all the lore from the previous games with big things like the Tri-Force and make it work without completely breaking everything from the previous games lol. Bc we see the Tri-Force was a strong presence post-Memories; the motifs are all over Hyrule Castle and other Hylian ruins and designs. If Zelda has it but isn't aware of it, then that also opens up the possibility for the next game or future games to refocus around the Tri-Force, maybe thru Link and Zelda rediscovering what it is and how it works (which would then continue to include the newer fans who were brought in by BOTW and TOTK, who would also be learning about it for the first time). Another thought I've been bouncing around in my brain is it could be that the redheaded Zonai person Link turns into after completing all the Shrines was the first incarnation of Link, and whatever events took place while they were alive was also when Hylia gifted them the Tri-Force and started the cycle of reincarnation within Zelda; which could also mean that that BBEG was Demise, who originally cursed himself and Link to also continue the reincarnation cycle with them. (another personal theory of mine unrelated to the rest of this is that the next game or possibly dlc/extended edition is gonna be focused on that era and that redheaded Zonai as the protagonist but this is already a very long comment so I'll save that for another day) Tldr, i mostly agree with your theory - i think the Tri-Force has been hidden or sealed away somewhere, possibly for its own protection. Nothing in my theories answers how or why Zelda would have all three pieces of it and have no knowledge of it, especially since in BOTW her and her father both indicate they're aware of her divine bloodline and the power that comes with it. I agree it's very possible there was a point in time in the past when it was decided that all knowledge of the Tri-Force needed to be forgotten or repressed for it's own protection, and that could be why Zelda has no knowledge of it despite possessing it herself. Or - a simpler answer could be that Zelda's maternal ancestors were sworn to secrecy about the Tri-Force and only permitted to talk about it when their successor came of age, and since we know Zelda's mom died before she had a chance to teach Zelda anything about her powers, the information simply could have died with her at the beginning of the Calamity. BOTW and TOTK both reestablished that the Royal Family kept many, many secrets, including from each other (i.e. Ganondorf sealed under the castle, and that being the entire purpose of the castle) and folks like the Sheikah (Arbitor's Grounds), so it's plausible that the Tri-Force was one of those secrets that was simply buried and lost to time. Awesome video, I love your content as always and can't wait for the next one. I eat Zelda lore theories like a dying man at an oasis and yours are always *chefs kiss*. I'm still a relatively new Zelda fan (Twilight Princess was my introduction years ago but BOTW got me back into the series), so I may be missing really obvious pieces of lore that make my theories just not fit, but to me that's part of the fun of speculating and theorizing, bc then I learn new things :D

I believe, at some point, someone attempted to use the Triforce to destroy the Triforce. However, the Triforce of Power would be so integral in this it would be unable to detroy it's self. So, the plan became wishing the Triforce of Wisdom to always transfer into Zelda & the Triforce of Courage to always transfer into the Hero...transcending spacetime...while the Triforce of Power would simply be broken into pieces which would require unification to regain it's full power. Thus, multiple guardians (known as Sages) could defend their own piece in order to keep the full relic out of the wrong hands. So, THIS is the "Secret" of the "Secret Stones". The Secret Stones ARE the pieces of the Triforce of power, and THIS is why a Secret Stone grants a different POWER to whomever possesses it. Now, consider this: If Ganondorf became THIS powerful through only a PIECE of the Triforce of Power (a Secret Stone) then, we have yet to see his ACTUAL full potential as the final boss in this new iteration of the series. 😮

The fading into legend idea fits very well: in BOTW it was expected from Zelda to use an inherited divine sealing power, that turned out to be the Triforce, and her training and meditation was a mean for her to gain access to it, however her mother passed away before being able to convey some critical information that is not referenced in any text (even if the Kingdom is full of visual references to it). Now in TOTK, Zelda chooses to use the same divine power to repair and empower the Master Sword, that action indicates that she is getting a better understanding of that inherited power, even if she does not know that it comes from an ancient relic.

OK, this is honestly a SOLID video. I honestly love talking about the Triforce and the lore surrounding it as well as its connections to the games and their stories/characters. One of my biggest gripes with Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom--as incredible as they are--is the lack of the Triforce. As you said, the Triforce isn't even MENTIONED despite all the clear references and symbolism of it you see through out the Switch Zelda titles. Having the Triforce simply be forgotten throughout time is a very plausible theory that I could consider head canon for myself as to me that makes the most logical sense. What's even more interesting about it as well is the fact that Link, Ganondorf, and Zelda don't have the Triforce marks on their hands which has always been the symbol of being one of the chosen wielders of a piece of the Triforce. As you showed us, Zelda does have the Triforce mark appear when she's using her powers but I don't think that has anything to do with the Triforce itself, but more so Zelda's bloodline being traced back to Skyward Sword Zelda being a reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia. Anyways, rambling over. Amazing and solid video HG! Keep up the great work!

The Triforce, however, is one of the few things I'm familiar with, and I was a bit disappointed to see it not play any role in the games. YES!!! FUCKING YES! I felt crazy searching for any content related to this and no one seemed to question the absence of the all-powerful relic the Triforce. So much was retconned for OoT I genuinely was shocked. Rauru doesn't mention it despite being the first King of Hyrule and a Zonai. Even Ganondorf doesn't mention it and he's literally wielded its power. The only thing that would make sense is if the Triforce is sealed away somewhere and been forgotten by humanity. (Or Nintendo dropped the ball and doesn't care about the lore like it used to for TP or SS.)
@davinvasquez358 Жыл бұрын
I wonder if totk dlc/expansion can bring it back in some way. Maybe the secret zonai stones are in fact pieces of the triforce like how in WInd Waker it is broken into shards. Maybe the Zonai at one point new where the triforce were, they were called to be Gods who descended to Hyrule. Maybe they had to full thing at one point, but maybe again bad people got their hands on it and it shattered. Maybe the dlc we can go back in time when the Zonai were alive. Maybe instead of sky islands it is a land mass in the sky higher than we can see now. Maybe we can explore the ancient civilization high above where we can go now and maybe there are flashbacks to when the zonai were more prevalent. Of course this theory and ideas have it flaws canonly, but wishful thinking and fun is what makes videogames fun to talk about.
@javiervasquez625 Жыл бұрын
I imagine the Zonai have a machine somewhere with the power to "extract" divine power from within a person's body which convinces Zelda to want to subject herself to said machine in order to understand what this "Sealing Power" is all about. As the machine acricates the Triforce is "drained" from Zelda's body leading to it becoming physical once more.
@PaperBag2024 Жыл бұрын
I have a little theory/story as to why the TriForce is missing. The Zonai, the ones long before Raruu and Mineru, used it to reset the world of Zelda, keeping them around and re-establishing the Hyrule Kingdom as their own dominion. From there, they went extinct, the last ones being the First King and his sister, but still left their presence marked through the Labyrinths, Typhlo Ruins, and the Faron region “city”.
@victoralexandervinkenes919310 ай бұрын
The labyrinths, although created by the Zonai themselves, could also have housed another group that, for the sake of simplicity, can be referred to as the Lomei tribe... Who the Lomei were, we don't entirely know... they could've been a Zonai warrior caste, a power tribe with close ties to the Zonai, or just a barbarian tribe that may or may not have possible, whether intentionally or accidentally, powered up the demons, possibly leading to the first appearance of Calamity Ganon. Also, I like to think that the Ancient Hero were themself using the Hero's Aspect, too. Whether or not it's the case, we don't entirely know that (yet).

Child timeline triforce of courage. Adult timeline triforce of wisdom. Fallen timeline triforce of power. I think triforce was split between the timelines and what we thought was 3 parts of triforce in each timeline was just 3 pieces of one of the original triforces. Each timeline's triforces were merged into one of the original triforces and a hero in each timeline used their set of triforce pieces to form one of the original 3 and at that point. All three heros wished to restore hyrule, and to do so the triforces came back together and was exhausted of power by combining all 3 timelines to restore hyrule as it only had enough power to restore one hyrule and not 3. And the zoni stones are the little fragmented pieces left over when the original triforces that crumbled when it restored hyrule by combining all 3 timelines and exhausted it's power. The Zoni stones only hold enough power to aid one holder but not enough to be restored into a triforce. But hey that's a theory a 2:30am sleepy made theory thanks for reading.
@kayasimone7455 Жыл бұрын
I think that the triforce was split into twelve a bit before mineru and raru's time, and were encased into the secret stones by goddess hylia. This is because the secret stones have the same power to amplify its users power as the triforce (shards) have had in previous games. Also I think maybe hylia did this to hide and protect each stone from evil and so that the full power of the triforce is split up and so each stone is not too powerful (or as powerful as the full triforce). Also this would make sense because there are 11 known secret stones in the game (raru's, mineru's, Zelda/Sonya's, each sage's, each dragon's, and link/ganon's) so maybe the missing stones are part of the next game or dlc where you have to retrieve all of them and make them into the full triforce like in other games such as windwaker.

wait, wasn't Zelda's stone the same one Rauru had? and Ganondorf's the one he took from Sonia? did Link even have a secret stone? though that doesn't disprove this Idea, of course. even though that's only ten pieces, the three triangles could have broken into different numbers. or it could have been just one piece that broke (power would make sense) and the other two won't appear until the broken one is put back together?

Theory: The Triforce is actually staring us in the face. Breath of the Wild was giving us Wisdom - from Zelda and her ability to contain Calamity Gannon for a venture while Link recovered. Tears of the Kingdom gave us Courage - from Zelda again by doing what she had to do and swallowing the stone for thousands of years while the Master Sword recovered. The final game - in an unexpected trilogy - will have Zelda demonstrating Power as Zelda had control of the Triforce all along, and we go to a different realm to defeat Demise and end the curse forever.
@VincenzoNova4 ай бұрын
I like something you mentioned about the Triforce symbolically being present when Link, Raaru and Sonia bring Zelda back, and I think it might even be literal, actually. Link has Courage reincarnated into him every time, so there's one. Wisdom is passed down through the royal bloodline, and Sonia being Zelda's blood ancestor might have been hinting that she already had Wisdom within her. That's two. The triforce of Power is usually taken by force, and I think it's reasonable to assume that Raaru might have held that in one way or another. Perhaps in sealing Ganondorf's body away all that time, he was able to take it from him, or maybe he already had it, and that's how he was able to seal ganondorf away in the first place. (He maybe used it to become king of Hyrule, but just wasn't evil about it)A bit of a stretch, but that could be three. Finally, draconification is impossible to reverse... unless, if Link, Raaru and Sonia together used the triforce to make a wish: Return Zelda.

Perhaps BotW and TotK Zelda having the Triforce and her being flung into the past made the Triforce disappear/go into her then, too (since I think there can't be several Triforces at the same time due to time travel), which kept the Triforce out of reach in the Light Dragon for countless millenia (tens, if not hundreds of thousands of years). That would mean though that TotK's past is still far after any/all timelines (which I believe is the case), because it appeared in those games. At least that's what I thought you were about to hint at when you kept repeating your "out of memory"-line while showing the Light Dragon.

One of the things I'm thinking could be possible is that the Zonai at some point even before Rauru's time, came into possesion of the Triforce, saw the potential harm it could cause if the full relic was placed into the wrong hands and decided to break it apart and reforge it into the Secret Stones. The Zonai are referred to and believed to be a divine race from the heavens, just as the Triforce is a divine force from the heavens. The Secret Stones themselves also work in a similar manner to the singular pieces of the Triforce, in which they enhance the innate abilities of the wielder rather than granting them new and different abilities. Each Secret Stone contains incredible power, very much alike to the Triforce. By reforging the Triforce into the secret stones, it could make the triforce much more difficult for one singular person to collect and thus the only way to wield it would be either to collect ALL of the secret stones, or have all of the wielders of said secret stones gather together to wish upon the Triforce together. It could also explain why consuming a secret stone has such a tremendous effect and transformation on a person, mirroring Ganondorf's transformations into a giant powerful beast with just the Triforce of Power. Perhaps the Triforce was lost to history because there was no longer a Triforce to remember, only the Secret Stones.

I think I rather see a pattern in the Games. Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom seem to introduce especially newer players to the World of the Legend of Zelda The First game introduced us to the Trio of Light and Darkness, Link, Zelda and Ganon, along with the most important races to the Story. TotK introduced us to the man behind Ganon and covered the topic of what sages are and what their Purpose was. If they'll make another sequel, then I assume it will probably cover the topic of the Eternal Conflict between the God Tribe and the Demon Tribe with the eternal conflict of who of these sides is in charge just like in the very beginning - and in the center of this conflict was the Allmighty Triforce, so I hope they'll talk about it in a future game

I think that makes sense. Sometime between the previous set of games and the ones set in the BotW eta, the Triforce could have gotten sealed back into the sacred realm, and eventually mostly forgotten about. The one issue i have with that is the fact that so many of the buildings have it featured pretty prominently. That suggests that whoever designed the building (in universe, not the dev who made it) knew of its importance.
