As a person aged 76 it interests me how things come back into style. Everything old becomes new again. The bed reminds me of the Danish teak hot style from my teens and twenties, and the wall treatment is ancient, used forever, and I helped my Mom do it in our home in the 1950s. I'm not knocking it, I like it. 😊

Yep, as a person close to your age, I also remember and love the Danish furniture. Love it so much that when we got married 40 years ago, we bought HUD danish teak bookcases which were not in fashion at all. We’re downsizing but we’re keeping those bookcases. They’re timeless.

@@samanthab3292 The bedroom makeover did not feel like Alexandra to me. Not a pompom in sight. I don’t know if it represented Noah or not, because I don’t know him. If this bedroom is representative of his personal style then he’s very bland. I don’t know why beige is so dang popular with young people today. It’s like every shade of sand is praised to high heaven. But sand is just beige by another name. Brown brown brown. Everything was shades of brown. This style doesn’t feel authentic to very many people to me. It feels more like what people believe they should want if they were real adults. It’s boring. I would have preferred a bedroom covered in pompoms and pink froufrou textiles mixed with Noah’s favorite sports team or band or whatever the heck he’s into. (Certainly no one can tell what he likes from the makeover videos so far. His on camera approval is tepid.) This rooms feels like people afraid to share themselves. One of the biggest indicators that this style isn’t them is that neither of them dress in the same style. What you like to wear is good inspiration for home decor. This bedroom design did not feel personal to Alexandra. It’s nothing like her previous space. Hard to believe she’s moved in with her boyfriend and just become a completely different person. I also believe that whenever people start praising a space by saying it’s like a hotel or a spa, it’s a pretty good indicator that the space is impersonal. If it’s a personal space the compliments would be very different.

@@rtd1791 there are pompoms in the linen. Plus, check out her living room and balcony videos. It's as pink and sugary as you would expect from her. When you live with your partner, you have to compromise. Last but not least, totally disagree that people who like this style are "bland". This is calm and serene, so no wonder many people would want that effect in a bedroom. Saying someone is "afraid to share themselves" just because they like white and beige is so judgmental it's ridiculous. This comment says more about you than about them, for sure.

After following your design I decided to calm down my sleeping area as well. It is not a simple task but little by little it will get done. Right now it is way too busy and color filled. It was originally designed to be my creative work space and now is my sleeping space. I live in a one bed room apartment and have to be very resourceful in the design aspect of the space. Thank you for the motivation, I think I will sleep better and will recuperate faster from the surgery scheduled. I consider design the first step in preparation for future health. Our environment is very important in mental and physical health. Also I love to absorb your gentle energy ...catch all your videos and have enjoyed you for a long time now. I think people who are much older than us with good income buy there - without input from social media. WE should be fascinated by the label and build a desire to afford this furniture. So no, I think nobody of us buy from there. And when then just one piece we fell in love with.

This is my personal opinion.....and I express it not to offend anyone but to express a different point of view! I love and appreciate good design as a designer myself however, I have never been obsessed with or under the influence of 'labels'! Unless a piece of furniture is so unique that it cannot be recreated I personally could never buy a piece for that much as my heart and head would tell me that I could find a piece similar for much much less and with the money I saved, I could give it to an animal rescue/shelter. This would allow me to still have a 'great look' in my home (and I am sure my friends and family would not think anything less of the impact of the finished room) and perhaps I may have saved or at least made a huge difference in one or more animals lives! It is all about truly and realistically quantifying a product. When I was young, I naturally understood that people can spend their money where they like, but realised that a Ferrari owner would not really be looked at in awe driving down the street of a village where there is not enough food and water to feed themselves or their animals and crops! This kind of wealth only means something to those who would look on the Ferrari as a means to express their wealth/success and that goes for the people the Ferrari owner surrounds themselves with! In other words it only ticks the box for those that have money and want for nothing! To the people of the village, they would consider themselves millionaires if they just had enough food and water to feed themselves and sustain their lives! I have never bought anything to boost how I think people will look at me or think of me or my status. I believe this is what you call a state of mind and I have always been like this from a very young age! When all wealth and beauty is gone you will only have the bones of who you are!

So seeing you do that might be my favourite part, ha.
