Join mountain bike skills guru Lee McCormack and student shredder Michael for an inside look at a 2-day private clinic. Chunky, loose and legendary Zen trail in St. George is on the menu for Day 2, a perfect venue for applying the skills Mike honed on Day 1. Will Mike find RAD-emption on this unforgiving test of man, machine and mettle? More importantly, will his pants survive?

Truth!! You have to learn the skills off trail before you can take them on trail. Clean environment, just the skill! Nicely done!

A bit off topic here Lee, but I have a question for you. I'm putting together an enduro bike to handle some janky trails on the North Shore. I'm trying to decide on crank length. Everything I've found discusses crank length based on pedal performance (torque vs cadence vs power, etc) and minimizing pedal strikes. What I'm most interested in is how the crank length effects standing stance and performance/feel on the downs. I'm 5'7, pushing 50 and am chalked full of hardware from various surgeries. I'm wondering if going down all the way to a 155mm cranks would help when it comes to dropping the heels to brace on the steeps and help with the bike/body separation when moving the bike through corners or tough sections (better access to the hips?). I currently run 165mm cranks on my trail bike but am seriously considering trying 155mm on my enduro. Think that's going too far? btw, love your stuff on reach/RAD and bar backsweep. For this enduro build, it really helped deciding on frame sizing, stem length, bar sweep, etc.

Respect, guys! That climb mid descent, yes that's correct, is awful. You're tired from the climb, the main one, and have just been rattled through the rock garden you filmed, and then a full 100% effort awkward and steep tech up section. Ugh, makes me tired just watching it. Well done again.
