Fuel plate mod is probably the easiest cheapest mod to do on your 12 valve. What should I do next? instagram @darkirondiesel thanks for watching

Just taks the whole AFC off if its a play truck. Add some 4k gov springs and bump the timing to 18* until you get studs then 20*+ and it's aniriod fuel control

I didn't see a hose hooked to the boat maybe i didnt see it but . don't run it with out water , it will burn up the impeller and cause it to not piss water and over heat on the lake . Even a few seconds like that could eat up the rubber it's made of. They are not too bad to replace and should do ever 2 years or so . But with out water it's rubber to metal and will burn it up. Just a tip d,don't want to see a fun boating trip end up over heated and stuck on lake .

Not sure how people can ride with them up. I thought it would be cool, but they vibrate so much you can't see very well. I later went to a junk yard and put stock 1500 mirrors on.

Not sure if you can source an AFC live kit up in Canada but those are cool, especially since you are accustomed with common rails. It'll give you on the fly power adjustments almost like a common rail. Grinding the fuel plate flat is not the greatest because it takes away linear fuel delivery and you will always be running a bit rich. You can definitely make more power with less fuel by changing your governor springs and installing a proper fuel plate. But yea research AFC live.

me and momma got dad a 97 for his 62nd birthday. 73k miles when we bought it for $9500. we just passed 130k miles. now dad says i can start modifying "cause good god shes a damned dog going up hills loaded up" thinking im gonna do 3500-3700rpm governor, fuel plate and pump mods, fuel injectors, compound turbo, and possibly ringed block and ported head. im shooting for 650-700 tq through a 2003 true 6 speed and lowered gearing because 90% of our hauling is down the freeway 8 hours to the track at 75-90mph speed of traffic{including the rigs}
