When you have that moment of clarity about how old you are.😅 Welcome to the club.👍 When installing my pistol sights I use a micro chronometer to center the rear sight and to also check the front. Then 15 yards in a rest,I use a rest to be 100% sure the pistol is dead on,too many times are ego wants to blame the firearm or the ammo.

Pat, I don't know how YT got me here but I'm glad. I've seen your pistol tips and recently went to the range and tried them out and boy! I improved immediately! Seeing your small mistakes also helped me to see that it can happen to the best of us and keeping a good attitude toward that 1 thrown shot is something I want to imitate. I tended to really get on myself for that 1 shot outside the circle rather than looking at the several within the circle so seeing your example with pistol training is helping tons! Thanks!!

30+ years of shooting and never once have I thought of using spray adhesive for my targets, this is a game changer.
@YouveBeenMiddled Жыл бұрын
@@bdkj3e It works well for much larger targets (full-size rifle targets). For standard pistol sized targets, us poors use a stack of paper plates & a box of staples for the same price as one can of spray.

I heard you in my head say “get you some!” Haha. So I got myself some of a diet haha. I lost 50 pounds in 6 months 🤘 rock and roll brother. I’m almost 34 and 5 pounds away from my highschool weight! Great video reminder to know where your pistol groups. I shoot a lot of matches every month and work as an RO at the match. Many shooters are missing plates and I’m coaching them on there misses… I ask “where does your POA/POI hit? And they have no idea (hence the misses). I’ve spent a lot of time dialing in my handguns with different loads to know where they print, and keep a log book of the results for each pistol. When I go to shoot a match I look at my book to know where my aiming point needs to be with that particular pistol for good hits.

well, usually as a right handed shooter you will drop the rounds to low left because of improper trigger control / shot anticipation etc.. a left handes shooter will usually drop them low right. If you shoot a tight group like Pat did here, and the group orients to high right, you can be very certain its because of the zero not your input on the gun. So, he´s right, low left, usually, the shooter. A group high right, a good group, very likely the zero

I have the darnedest time at 50. At 25 my hold is dead center and it rings no problem. About a cantaloupe group center mass at 25 yards standing. POA is POI. 50 yards I have to hold low right to get hits. Heinie rear with slim Dawson front. I get hits but the hold is stupid at 50. I prefer to aim at what I want to hit and not guess. I have never benched it and put it on paper. Maybe I should to dial it in?

Love most of your stuff, i have to disagree with what you said about “pistols will do it but its the shooter if its off”. In a time of all time lows for quality control. These pistols are not point of aim point of impact from factory. Most are not even teated for that prior to leaving factory. If you wish to argue this point id recommend you purchase a ransom rest and the correct molds….test when all human error is removed. It kills me that all these “instructors” think all the pistols are point of aim point of impact. What you will find after firing in a ransom rest is that all will shoot differently point of aim/point of impact and also differently with ammo. As a shooter you should always zero your firearm to you (IF YOU CAN CONSISTENTLY group small)
