I have done the first two main rooms of Super Gore nest on ultra nightmare, and there is no way you can play like this, dancing round the room in the air, pulling all those split second head shots. You have to use my own patented 'Kill Corridor' method to do it. Also the developer pulled my quick resume checkpoint after I beat the second room, probably because they don't want me exposing that these vids are fake. I reckon I could possibly do the 3rd room with the fog, but the big open area after that I am not so sure.

Doom has a lot of guns and upgrade trees. Zero always followed the most efficient killing tree skill for their style of gameplay but I assume its all purely instinct when switching weapons in game on the fly and precision shooting was earned through decades of gameplay.

I've tried my first attempt on nightmare. I had to eventually quit after 4 hours of gameplay. I was almost done with it too, but the arena with 4 titans and 4 archviles, I couldn't get passed after like 16 attempts. The first attempt was bull, because I actually beat that segment, but the game glitched two enemies out of the arena. Even the marauder sludge room took me like 26 times. It truly is an endurance test.

Watch how he moves, what weapons he switches too and why he moves where he wants to. You'll notice a pattern in his gameplay. He is in my eyes a Master of Doom and an interesting specimen. 🤣. I've been studying his gameplay as I have picked up his habits on how he plays, and as far as I can see his reaction time, decision processing speed, and accuracy are all in a perfect ratio. He also has perfect control over his character movement speed. Which means he knows exactly where he needs to move in order to mitigate the damage taken. Seriously, his gameplay is so good I took it upon myself to make it a goal to mirror it. I just picked up Doom roughly 2 days ago and I'm already seeing a vast improvement in how I was playing it. He plays according to the weapon of choice and he rapidly swaps between each weapon in a perfect combination, every time he sees an enemy that can absorb damage more than the current weapon he holds. His crowd control of the flow of battle is what makes him remarkable. He may not be AI Level Accurate but he is Very Close to It. Seriously, he is Zero Master for a Reason.

After finishing the campaign I was curious how they would make it harder than the original level. And I have to say, this level really made me use all my skills and utilities to the fullest to survive. Especially when they surprised me with the smoke areas and the extra buff totems. Did this today on ultra nightmare and I just had to watch someone else do it. Got it in 5 tries, and 3 of those times I died at the part with the 2 marauders in those narrow sewer hallways. Shit was frustrating as hell. Anyways sick content.. this run was clean!

I’m late to the party but this level has been such a treat. I’m able to beat it on every mode except ultra nightmare. The level is very fun since I’ve started breaking it down and coming up with alternative strategies for each encounter and figuring out where to use my crucible/bfg and how to optimally take out the first cyberdemon in the room with two of them and a doom hunter so that I only have to deal with the doom hunter because I like to crucible the second cyberdemon. I’m still on the grind but I know I can beat it and this video has renewed my confidence that I can endure the storm long enough to conquer this level.

The Fact that the Quick Switching is now officially a Tip is a god send for newcomers and everyone needs a get a hold of it as it's really important and essential especially on higher difficulties. To put it bluntly,It's literally like switching different styles and weapons and doing crazy combos when playing as Dante in the recent DMC games.

I feel like the RAD suit should give slightly more protection against Cyber Mancubus attacks, it makes sense, in my opinion, because the Cyber Mancubus attacks seem to have corrosive properties to it, and the RAD suit provides protection against toxic waste. I’m not saying you should be 100% immune to the Cyber Mancubus attacks, but you get slightly less damage from them, and the RAD suit energy gets drained by the attacks so it isn’t permanent

Hugo Martin said they always wanted the previous Doom game to push players into weapon switching but they runout of time during development and wanted to play it safe but sequel gave them the chance. Weapon switching and combos has been apart of competitive multiplayer PC arena shooters since Quake and Unreal Tournament. Eternal is just the first time its been mechanically pushed in a singleplayer fps. Clockner who is an irrelevant crybaby now did not invent this.

@@el.pibedelrock The reason Hugo said that was because at the time(not anymore) Clockner was the only popular video montage of people playing Doom 2016 like that but their inspiration of bringing that style of gameplay into singleplayer experience also comes from competitive multiplayer arena shooters which pre date Clockner. Hugo on Joe Rogan podcast before the release of the game would constantly say this game brings the same buzz of competitive multiplayer. Plus the constant little references to Quake and Unreal Tournament and levels looking those games its obvious where they got the inspiration from. So for Clockner to come around and hate on a game because they made "his style of gameplay" mainstream now is laughable, pathetic and shows how much of a narcissistic punk he is. Cuz I like my sadists absolutely clamping the tender bits right before getting the torch out.. Hell of a wicked idea, but the wolf following part in the swamps could have been wildly different. Sheeit, one with noxious gas attacks and one with purple goo. Rendered as a 1/2 dimension Marauder dual wielding axes just to make the panicky controller shattering echo across the world. When I beat that I'll be legendary to myself, UN or ultra violence hot damn. This is so tightly balanced and so ruthlessly efficient at not encouraging ground humping camp status. Erry time ID makes a new engine, the world tilts slightly towards utopia before the collective controller smashes are done and the speedruns uploaded. Show the games industry they can git gud while actively steady trying to find ways to hem in the epic masters while not bruising the worthy newcomers. Even my houseplants play Eternal and the cats been thrown 4 times today alone, lmao. Kitty better tune up that dash....

This is absolutely savage. Good shit. You kill them so fast man. I have trouble doing the weapon swapping back and forth that quickly. I'm on Xbox Series X and have to use the Weapon Wheel. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are plenty that are great at it, but I definitely need improvement. I just completed my first playthrough which was nightmare difficulty. Then I tried this mission on Master on just "Hurt Me Plenty" difficulty and holy shit! Showed me how much I suck lol. I got to the end and died on the timer section because it was only my second time doing the mission and didn't remember where to go, along with the 1000 enemies and Mancubi and Marauders. Watching you Rip and Tear was really cool. Just wish I could swap and combo like that.
