Stark Future, with it's right to repair philosophy, direct to consumer model, excellent warranty support, video and written tutorials for repairs, included full tool kit, and customer access to purchase all components is the way to go for electric bikes....and EVs in general. Hard to buy an E-bike where I have to go through a stealership for everything.

I understand yall's comments about the somewhat disagreeable business policies Zero has, but as basically THE ONLY sizable, electric motorcycle company in the US, I gotta hand it to them for making their bikes somewhat affordable. They are fighting a VERY uphill battle because their market is SO niche. Most motorcyclists don't care about having an electric bike and actually a lot hate it, so their customer base is small and thus prices are high. But I am very happy that there is a company out there dedicated to making electric motorcycles happen for the average consumer that doesn't have a million$$ for the LS lightning 218 or whatever. TLDR, I hear yall, but im just glad there is an electric motorcycle company out there.

I hate to pile on but the XE is almost 40 lbs heavier than it's main competitor (Ultra bee) with only a slightly larger battery & slightly more power. The Talaria Dragon has a bigger battery, almost double the power, weighs the same & only costs $ 300 more. If it lost 30 lbs I'd buy one tomorrow.

Talaria Dragon is one of the ugliest bikes I've ever seen.
@Tumid1Ай бұрын
@@jasper_of_puppets That's like saying some hammer is ugly. When you need one, what matters is what works the best. If all you do is look at a dirt bike & not ride it, then cosmetics matter more than function to you.
@jasper_of_puppetsАй бұрын
@@Tumid1 lol, don't try to rationalize it. Just accept that when you are on your Talaria Dragon, everyone will look at you and only think about how hideous your bike looks.
@jasper_of_puppetsАй бұрын
@@Tumid1 What? It's difficult to read your response because my mind is so distracted by how ugly the Talaria Dragon is.

it must be speed limited right? Cause 15.5kw should get you well over 50mph. My 2.2kw ebike gets up to 40mph. Yes I know its not linear but still 15.5 is a lot.
@jamessever8936Ай бұрын
the XB has so much potential, too bad regulations have to keep it below 28mph

I don't know if you read comments, but imho you should build a NA - street - legal version of XE, Tinbot ES1 looks the same and has similar chacteristics (except 2 batteries, giving up to 130 km range), built in Germany, street legal in Canada (would guess US too)

So seeing how we all know that sport touring and adv bikes don’t make sense as EV only… can you please try to figure out a hybrid system like Kawasaki to keep up and grow your customer base

So offroad only in US, why? And as far as offroad is that "green sticker" or whatever that will be next year or just private property? Thats a game killer these days. Its an exciting announcement, but for the price its a bit deflating that the components are all Zero sourced parts and not Showa, KYB, Renthal or otherwise. Brakes are probably also similar to the zero, nothing to rave about. Also I know its a hard balance between regen control and braking, but ABS and inability to lock up brakes on dirtbike is a no go for an experienced rider. I heard that can switched off, but does that also switch off regen, or what? By the way though , drop the lame one legged donut in the vids. Just my opinion as a seasoned bike rider and owner.

How about first addressing the problems with your motorcycles so people don't end up with a $21k paperweight
