For about two years, my weekly TTRPG group has played in an alternate Gotham timeline where Bruce Wayne's parents were never killed, this Bruce never became the Batman and other vigilantes emerged. My first character befriended Maxi Zeus and, after retiring him, I adopted Maxi as my primary character, and I've fallen in love with him! He's a straight up anti hero megalimaniac whose unreasonably vain, buff, self-righteous, and has at this point actually acquired Internet lightning powers. This villain NPC has become one of our most beloved characters to spend hours with every weekend! All that said, when taking him in, i didn't understand his proper history, so thank you for the education! 😁

Once again a banger! I really thought it was interesting that ole Maxie named Batman his Hades. Because I've always seen the Dc characters as modern day myths. And I could see him as the god of wealth and ruler (admin) of the Underworld 🤭 he just wouldn't kidnap a bride. Hell the way Bruce's love interests go they'd be the groom nabbing sort.

Bruce is definitely the Hades to Clark’s Zeus and Arthur’s Poseidon. Clark watches over a city cast in gold, years ahead of the present and seemingly exempt from societal ills and pitfalls. A modern Olympus, guarded by the closest thing a mortal could come to being a god. Arthur rules a city buried beneath the waves, an isolated ruin that refuses to be a part of the world above. Bruce guards a city of the damned and the mad, watching over the innocent and defending them from the wretched.

@@SilverScribe85 the mad monk is like the second "super villain" batman ever faced, first was doctor death who was introduced in detective comics issue 29 Doctor death had no powers, he was just a chemist with chemical weapons but his story was the only one which was a 2 parter he has also reappeared over the years in Several stories he was also the first villain batman faced in the new 52 continuity, which was dc's latest reboot. The "ZERO YEAR" storyline. they gave him powers this time This makes him the first "super villain" But if we get technical Mad monk is his first, because Mad monk was an actual vampire Batman villains before him were all gangsters, mobsters, the occasional scientist with bombs and chemical weapons and all were one and done ( except doctor death who got a 2 parter and would later return occasionally) And after that they just put in a vampire, like here ya go an actual vampire. This was in 1939, by 1940 they gave batman his own comic series and in that series in batman issue 1 they introduced Joker and Catwoman! okie that side tracked into a history lesson, sorry for that But Thanks for reading all the way through!🥰
