Many thanks for the recipe. As someone who is allergic to dairy and potato this is great. A lot of store bought wrappers contain milk or potato starch.👍👍

Yes make sure you put them in a sealable bag and push the air out or they will freezer burn

So weird. I was just saying today it's a shame I never have any spring roll wrappers on hand when I want to make them. My friend had made me a batch of spiced vegetable rolls that I've been trying and enjoying the last couple of days. I will have to give this recipe a go, it looks much easier than the other method of making them.

Those vegan spring rolls look so good 😋😋😋 I can see why you'd buy the wrappers if you were making spring rolls all the time, though, just for the sake of practicality, but fantastic to know how to make them for those that have the time and love to do things from scratch 😄

love these wrappers, i remember watching a youtube video a while back and it was showing how they make egg roll wrappers with what looks like a wet ball of dough in one hand and allowing to touch the hot flat skillet but this was done lots of times, then they keep flipping the dough back into their hand to stop it dropping and its constantly done like that but i think i prefer these, less hassle

Yes but make sure you dust each layer really well and use less layers

@@ZiangsFoodWorkshop Hi, I do not think you are alone. My interests are varied. I see a lot of high followed channels missing, then others, which are clearly bots or spam channels in place. Some are just copies of other channels with different users. These are frequent and mess up my list. This doesn't help you, but it's true. A British Baker has vanished too. He's there, just not on my list 🤔

I'm never going to have to buy the big restaurant box of wrappers again. Since I only use maybe 8 at a time, this is perfect, and I'll never have to toss out a quarter of a box that is freezer-burnt. I never thought about the hot water gluten denature before, or the oiling/flouring rolling in a batch. Thanks!

Hi Chin! Love the video, two questions: 1. Can these then be frozen once made before frying? (To make a large quantity and then use as and when) 2. The veggie spring rolls at our local Chinese has some sort of red/black looking cabbage any clue what this could be? Thanks for the help, happy cooking.

There is actually a third method to make wrappers. The first is the pancakes as you mentioned, the second is the method you showed in this video. The third method is making use of a sticky batter that you hold in your hand and which you directly apply/rub on a hot plate. With this method it is possible to make big wrappers (larger than 30cm) or small wrappers. Can you be so kind to make a video of this method and the recipe of this batter?
