The movie was a segment of his life. I don't care what anyone says, RITA MARLEY was the backbone of BOB MARLEY & FAMILY. Without Rita, we wouldn't know who he was. She brought him to Rastafari, and started that journey. She took care of ALL their kids. She took care of his kids after he died. Rita even carried on his vision and adopted 35 kids in Ethiopia and supports 200 kids in Ghana. Bob's outside kids call her MAMA RITA, yes even Damian. They are a family and people need to stop worrying about his affairs and just the music. Bob was no different than Mick Jagger or Steven Tyler with the women. I love the movie.. #JahRastafari

Some cultures have a different way of communicating and might be different than yours. My family is from the Caribbean and I grew up in the Bronx and when I moved to Seattle for college I learned that the hard way. This video was refreshing to me because it's my preference for conversation: free and respectful and with the natural rhythm where it's not just about who is "dominating the conversation" but people add what is relevant that moment. Just a thought.

Why should Ziggy produce a movie that celebrates his father’s infidelities. The story is the life of his father and mother, and not the women that had his children. Why celebrate Gong’s mother and not the other children’s mother’s? Bob Marley was a married man. Don’t compare Breakshear to Rita? Rita is the star and embraced all Bob’s children and was kind to the mother’s. Rita is a brilliant woman who made beauty out of her ashes. Ziggy honored his mother as he should. If Ziggy’s other siblings want to do a documentary of their father, do so!

I feel like half the people commenting haven't even seen the movie or know much about Bob Marley and his beliefs. Clearly this movie was told through the eyes of Ziggy and his mother Rita.. nobody knows what the back story on that is and whether or not other people actually WANTED to be protrayed in the movie. Respectfully.. how could Ziggy be responsible to tell someone elses story. I could be wrong but I don't remember any one of his children referenced in movie by name except Ziggy. There were scenes in movie with other people represented in the backgroud but the humanity of Bob was the forefront and THE STORY being told. To show every detail, every relationship and every side of Bob wouldn't be possible and would only over shadow the beauty and true message of this movie. Anybody that has truly looked into the legacy of Bob Marley WOULD understand. He truly represented ONE LOVE. He didn't believe in marriage and so he also wouldnt of believed in divorce. He loved women.. he loved all people and if even for a moment in time, he loved the women that mothered ALL his children. To call them side pieces and other derogatory names is ridiculous because Bob didn't see them that way. In regards to Cindy, she is referenced and respected in many documentaries and interviews. People closest to Bob believed that he truly loved her and some sought her to be the "love of his life". Rita and Bob's connection was bigger then a traditional relationship/marriage because they shared a spiritual connection and the same spiritual beliefs. She was clearly his rock and their relationship was a true representation of unconditional love on both behalfs. THAT was what made this movie so beautiful. The world was blessed by Bob Marley.. and still is. His spirit is beautiful and you can see it/hear it through the legacy he has left behind. Thank you to the Marley family for continuing to spread the love and message of their father with the world. ❤

Good interview. Awesome movie as i saw it 2x. This movie is an adaptation of the play in which my brother played Neville Garrick.

A great movie in all rounds. But from a fan who still see him as the greatest of all, I expected more aspects of his life portrayed. For instance, I can't imagine Bob without Peter and Bunny. Where were they? In all, it was awesome. The guys who played Bob, Aston Family man, Chris Blackwell, Lee Perry and Junior had great looks alike to the originals. Everyone was so good at their portrayal. 🎉

Every family have problems no one's perfect we speak we fall out that's the way life goes it's not negative it's just the way things go sometimes being Rastafari don't mean you like and get on with everyone not everyone is for you that's what we have to work out 🤷🏾

No. They even added at the end that Bob passed of cancer. If you want to know more, and it’s better than this movie, watch Kevin MacDonald’s “Marley” doc. Don’t trust Hollywood with this iconic man do easily. Bob doesn’t need to be reduced down to a bunch of movies.

@@jflack6but we are all born knowing Bob was dead. so it ain't like we find out about it this week. we need a prequel TV series . that takes us to young Bob and a separate saucy spin off Cinnie and Bob . Love and the limelight . All the side pieces need to be portrayed
