Shaq and Chuck and Ernie Johnson are a huge part of what makes TNT coverage of the NBA great for 3 decades. I remember watching the conference finals and being very sad that TNT would not be hosting the finals. The NBA on CBS in the 80s was great, on NBC in the 90s it was great but ESPN/ ABC really dropped the ball as far as quality coverage was concerned. Losing TNT after this year is going to be a huge loss for a league already struggling

Zion is a perfect example of what's wrong with the American basketball system. Until he reached the NBA, he was always the most talented and physically gifted player on the court. He's never had anyone hold him accountable. At every level, he was more important than his teammates, coaches, or team. Because of this, he has no work ethic, he has no guts, he doesn't have the killer instinct. If he slimmed down to 250, he could be one of the greats. But, he won't and he'll join Ben Simmons, Greg Oden, and others in the "could have been" category. The sad part is that it isn't injuries (like Oden) that sank him, but mindset (like Simmons). They just don't want to work at it.

Grew up in Louisiana was born in Houma at LSU hospital and ate a TON of that great food and I miss it 😭 now living in Boise Idaho. I ate and am currently eating just about anything I want in my mid forties and I'm super fit at 185 pounds at 5 foot 11 with muscles, abs and toned. I just count calories and burn off the extra and go into a deficit on some days. IMO: the younger generation of NBA players (after Curry) are generally very concerned with every cent they can get from their contracts while doing as little as possible as soon as possible. They say they're focused on a championship but what they do says otherwise. Their performance becomes even more mediocre the years after a lucrative contract extension is obtained. Then markedly bounce back on the year of the next extension negotiation. I so miss the generation of Russell et al, MJ, Magic & Bird et al, Lebron & Curry et al...those guys came to play, play their best & play for a championship. So it was real fun to tune in. The current generation just mostly goes through the motions, except maybe for the European players who mostly play their hearts out.
