I was hoping this season I would see Zion healthy and play at least 70 games. He was able to get himself in shape and such a dominate player and gives it all every game. Now it seems his body can't handle the injuries and put him out longer then expected. His first three years were full of injuries and miss a lot of time including missing all of last season and only one good season where he was able to play through no injury. His career is uncertain if he can't stay healthy.

I heard a theory that the training systems they have now, allows players to get stronger, faster at a quicker time period and helps limited the mileage of the body. But the outcome is that players are getting injured easier and more often, compare to how they trained 15 plus years ago. The training system they had back than made the body less injury prone because it worked the core differently.

Some of the NBA trainers think the increase in injury has been due to lack of lifting weights, such as squats, cleans, and deadlifts. That strength training helps players withstand a lot of the force from quick stops and landing from jumps.

Same. I’m a casual Pelicans fan myself. I can’t get emotionally invested in the team because it seems they’re perpetually destined to be .500 and injury-plagued. There’s always something that gets in the way of them achieving what they should and our star players always leave. We drafted a “sure thing” who’s gonna eat himself out of the league, or even worse, finally get his fat ass in shape and become the player we dreamed of after leaving New Orleans. 😂 Pelicans fans want to support this team so bad, but they keep breaking our hearts. You can only take so much of that before you just stop caring like I have.

This was an exceptional video and the only thing I could say is OKC Memphis and especially Sacramento have been their own worst enemy making multiple stupid moves for every positive move they make. Maybe people saw Kyrie going to the Mav’s destroying them but one bad move (maybe in hindsight) set one of the best franchises back possibly for years so if they can poop the bed teams prone to pooping the bed will probably do it again. I love when teams that historically suck become good so I hope you’re right. Great work.

The problem with Zion is that too much of his game is reliant on his athleticism. If he takes it easy even a little bit, it'll have a much bigger impact on his game than other player would. He's borderline all or nothing. He'll need to add other elements to his game to pull that off (which to be fair, he does look like he's trying to do). I just wonder if he'd be better off with a different medical team, the Pelicans are always near the top of the most injured lists...

I was looking at his stats last night and trying to figure out how many games he’s played Vs injured…. The algorithms can read your mind 😂

To make matters worse, his rookie extension starts next year, so how many teams are actually going to jump at the oppurtunity to pay a guy $30+ million a year just to play a little over a 3rd of a season and then get injured. Granted when he can play, he sure as hell can play, but even if a team builds with him as the complimentary second option, you still want him to have a hell of a lot more availability than what he has now

All of the top tech and medical personnel Yet a bunch of "plumbers" back in the day didnt have injuries so rampant Either the diets suck or they've played way too much ball to early Zion desperately needs to drop weight and a lot or hes done

Great video you definitely know your shit and do the research. The Lebron comparison was needed, clearly they’re not the same level, but zion was labeled the next Bron cause his build and athleticism and yet he can’t keep himself in the shape King can

Trade him while he has value. Dude will never be healthy or workout hard enough to prevent these injuries.

The only way Zion could ever have a long career is if he only plays under 20 mins per game and only 1 game a week. Maybe 2 if they’re home games.

Zion, Ben have been super disappointing. I just hope Ja doesn't ruin his run. He's my favorite player currently next to Luka.
