Zipper ride experience at California Mid-Winter Fair & Fiesta

They come in different colours, Gigi, but that's the Zipper machine I've ridden in Australia. Made by the ironically named 'Chance Rides.' There's a vid of a white one in Utah. It's my absolute favourite ride. My brother and I used to rock the cage while they were being loaded to get it flipping.

So when my friend and I were at the very top of the zipper, it was over, btw, and so it started creaking and we looked at each other, the creaking was super scary, it felt like we were gonna fall at any second.

My mom made me get on the zipper I was screaming from the top of my lungs the whole time and my mom was just laughing at me

I agree with you. This ride is awful! You'd have done better to ride the "zipper" which is padded and has the center of gravity at the hips which makes tumbling through the air easy and fun. NO "side to side" motion and it lasts 2-3min, not 10. I went on this ride when my friend and I were 8 and too small! We were seriously knocked around. It was very dangerous.
