I think they both found something, Jake found someone to heal the wound, even if it helps only a little. He gave Spider a home, and himself a bit more peace of mind. Spider finally gained a family who actually cares about and is not trying to use him as a strategic gain.

Kiri and Spider are actually adoptive siblings of the Sully family (Jake and Neytiri's children). Kiri always compares Spider to like the brother she never had, despite having two already. She gave him the nickname of "Monkey Boy," using it particularly in the moments when they both joke around. Kiri makes several attempts to include Spider as part of the family, but this just ends up irritating Neytiri. Spider was enamored by the Sully family, considering Lo'ak, Kiri, and Tuktirey his true family, although he was not as close to Neteyam. 3. Spider leaves out Neteyam's name when he lists the "family" he has left, due to Spider being much closer to Neteyam's younger siblings. 4. Spider was crying after he learned that Neteyam had perished. 5. Jake embraced him and Lo'ak and stated that he got "a son for a son"; many viewers interpret this as confirmation of Spider finally being adopted into the family by Jake. 6. Neytiri tells her daughters and Spider to stay together. It would be at this moment that she possibly began to show attention to Spider.

I think Neytiri didn't understand the full extent of Spider's trauma before. She didn't see that Spider belonged and didn't feel welcome with humans. He was more Na'vi than any of Quaritch's gang.

She will be coming in soon to do her part, which is an interesting, fun character. I mean, we're getting ahead of ourselves now. This whole thing has been planned for years and years. I always feel like Spider reflects Jake in a way that both humans choose to abandon their beliefs and species as a whole, becoming one with Na'vi after realizing what humans become. I feel like desperately, they won't stop until they are either killed or get what they want. That horrific realization, where Jake and Spider clearly see the line when others don't, unites them and makes them respect and feel for one another. Spider and Jake, I think, also both feel gulit for being responsible for the death of others. Jake with Neytiri's father and Spider with Jake's elderly son. They made someone lose a loved one, and they are getting similar to me as the story progresses, to be honest.

Expect for the that Spider has a dad. Well, he exists, but not as his parenting figures anyway. Quaritch didn't care about Spider, as his son, he only saw him as a way to get Jake and his family, resulting in Sullys losing a family member. In a way, that's even worse for Spider. He lost his family twice, even Jake took him back. And they both ended up losing kids. One dead, and other completely resents his biological parent now.

Spider is not going to turn out like father. He's nothing like him and would never join the RDA. He was raised like a Navi. Neytiri may not accept him, but Jake (by the end of A2) and the Sully kids accept him, giving him needed support and can relate to each other.

If fire literally burns and blazes on Pandora both Na'vi and humans are toast, let me explain- reflect the cyclical nature of conflict and how it leads to more violence, anger, and hatred in the future. Violence, grief, and consequences. The terms "fire" and "ash" are reflections of this. According to Cameron, if fire represents hatred, anger, and violence, then ash represents the aftermath (grief and loss), which in turn leads to more violence, anger, and hatred (fire). In essence, it is a vicious cycle. Everyone is good guys except for the fire [RDA and ash Na'vi did it] as is burning everything

He doesn’t have the charisma that you expect from most of other actors. He’s sort of introvert and on top of that he has Aussie humor that just few of us appreciate! And that’s okay! He’s doing his job in his way 🙌🏼
