I upgraded from an iPhone 11 and I absolutely love it. I don’t plan on upgrading until I experience the same issues I did with iPhone 11 ie screen dimming, poor battery and general lag. Same with my Apple Watch. I upgraded from a 4 to the latest version and I don’t notice that much of a difference however I look forward to utilizing the new features. It’s insane to upgrade every year and SUCH a waste of money. Nobody cares what device anyone else is using and I no longer feel the need to try to keep up with the latest and greatest as apple has a tendency to release hardware without the software.

My thoughts on the camera button is that it probably can be improved on, and useful in time for certain situations however probably not something I’d buy the phone for, as I wouldn’t use it everyday. I personally don’t really take a lot of photos anyway as it is.

1:48 I think your set up issues are related to iOS 18. I just upgraded to the iPhone 15 Pro after the 16 Pro was launched (T-Mobile still had them in stock), but man was it difficult getting that setup to work properly. The software update part of the setup failed twice for me 😅on a brand new phone

I have the 14 Pro Max and it fits just right in the 16 Pro Max except for the cut outs so if the 16 Pro Max is bigger I doubt if you will notice any difference, I think Apple was just trying to get people like me to go after the bigger phone

Please DO NOT upgrade to the 16. It’s just a 15 with an extra button and .2 extra inches. It doesn’t even come with the promised “Apple intelligence”. Just replace your battery and wait for the 17 pro max. It will be worth more or your money, they will have time to improve on the new 6.9 architecture and fit with better internals. 14 pro is still a very capable device that can give you another good year!

I know people who still experience this problem (in person) even after the ‘updates’. 14/15 and/or pro series phones are kind of 👎. Try to avoid them and shoot for a 13 or 16 regular or pro series. Those two are much better and have no problems unlike the other two!

I really wish more KZbinrs would stop using the iPhone 15 Pro Max as a benchmark, many of us are coming from older iphones so what might not be a big change to you is a big change to others. I’m also surprised about your photo reviews. There are several other KZbinrs who have noticed a marked improvement between the 15 promax and the 16 promax. Genuine question, what ‘major’ improvements were you looking for?

I am so glad I didn't buy it, I went for a 15PM a few months before this and I was regretting missing the metal casing on the battery for better thermal dissipation. Not only does the 16PM not even have the metal casing, on the 16P it's isolated by rubber pads, so yes it's easier to remove but you're not getting longer life from the battery remaining cooler. 17PM if you're on an older iPhone is definitely the one to wait for, this is a hard pass unless you're wanting a bigger screen, otherwise it doesn't offer anything the 15PM does.

Let’s move on and grow up past that. They all borrow from each other to keep the competition going. There is one iPhone vs many droids. I am getting worried that apples software is getting worse IE not maintained as much as it used to be. the issue you stated in the beginning is a huge issue. Even with MacOS there been security issues IE something with sequoia makes vpn's and other security software not function. Apple needs to go back to their root and make there software and products flawless they have been coasting for too long. Not to mention how the iphone 16 still had issues with the camera button as you mentioned.

15 Pro Max user here. This is obviously not much of an update from the 15 Pros but agree that if you have an older iPhone, it could be a huge upgrade. If get a deal, I will probably get it, but this iPhone make me appreciate the 15 Pro Max even more. Apple should have included for the 16 Pros: 16 GB RAM, Promotion 240 MHz, reverse wireless charging, USB 4, 8K 24, 30 and 60 fps video recording.

I think the video could be more aimed at people that have other models than just the 15 Pro Max. In my case, I waited three years and decided to upgrade from my 13 Pro Max. Major factors worth this. A $1000 trade-in value through Costco and AT&T With the one terabyte model that I always get. Number two my old phone needed a new battery $100 value number three a $100 gift card from Costco number for a $50 statement credit. All said that’s $1250 toward my new phone with giant upgrades in battery life cameras screen processor, and it is aI ready for all the new updates.

Have both the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Samsung S24 Ultra, and let's begin with a comparison: display. Samsung-how fast is Samsung? How easy is it to download torrents without paying for any apps? From multitasking to gaming to split-screen to customization to Dex to camera zoom (which is much more important) to battery life to S Pen (and what you can do with the S Pen), audio is better, build quality and look (that boxy look with a flat display is so much better, but overall, the vibrant colors that are so rich and adjustable are the biggest department where the Samsung S24 beats the iPhone 16 Pro Max), coated ANTI-REFLECTIVE SCREEN is somthing that cannot be matched there is not reflection, on sunlight is much more easy to read, so overall it's even stupid to compare the iPhone 16 Pro Max or any iPhone with Samsung. Maybe with some well optimised games where Iphone lead if that is game changer for someone he can go with Iphone 16 pro max but i find that even those games glich have lot of laggs. Samsung has been on the market for 100 years and even sells some stuff for the iPhone. The Samsung S24 Ultra is far better. I only have the iPhone 16 Pro Max because I have friends who like iPhones, and they don't even know why I did so much research on which is faster. Samsung is even faster than the 16 Pro Max, so maybe it's all about the brand-like that Apple logo or Nike, etc. But there's a good reason why Samsung is more expensive.

In the US, tax rates depend on which state you're in, but they generally range from 2.9% to 7.25%. (This is what I found, but overall Samsung is more expensive on the global market.) From what I know, Vietnam pays a really low price for iPhones, while China pays the most, and South Africa is the most expensive, etc.and allso deppend of how much storige you have 1tb iphone come close everywere with price with 1tb Samsung s24 ultra looks like Iphone is more expensive when comes to storidge aswell

Going from iPhone 11 to 16 pro max. My 11 has chunks of metal missing, only one speaker works and the charging port is messed up ive never had the max and i have big hands so im not worried about it being too big. The feature im most excited for is being able to connect to satellite which isnt talked about much btw sat phones are also $1,000 so imo this feature makes these phones worth the money if u have an older iPhone and find yourself in the middle of nowhere often

Life of an Apple reviewer - Apple does iterative improvements, most iPhone reviewers are “disappointed” this year, like some were disappointed the year before, and so on. Maybe take from the standpoint of what a normal purchaser would view as an improvement, say from an iPhone 13 - now, the improvements are more noticeable and impactful. There are more reasons to upgrade from a 14 Pro to a 16 Pro, USB C, better battery, 1 nit minimum for the lowest brightness, much better camera and ultra wide camera, Apple Intelligence if you care about AI, 4K 120fps video and much better photographic styles.

Upgraded from 12 pro max to 16 pro max, and not impressed by the glitches, unfinished software and features and pretty substandard gimmicky features. Pretty disappointing Apple. Will be returning it and going back to my 12 pro max. Maybe next year…

I have the iPhone 12pro max, I am looking forward to a longer battery life and just better camera. Nothing really fancy. I do like that. It’s gonna be bigger so I don’t have to strain my eyes so much…

These days, phones are like cars. I don't hear anyone complaining about last years Toyota Camry being a marginal upgrade to the previous model, but yet we do the same thing with phones. If you have a reliable iPhone that works, then use it until the wheels fall off. If you want to upgrade for specific features or just have money to burn then upgrade. Drawing comparisons with last years model shouldn't have anything to do with the device being bad in any way.

tbh i moved from the iphone 12 to the 16 pro max, the difference was so huge, but i get that if u already have the 15 pro max there's basically no need to upgrade, for me the best gap is 4 or 5 years, like that u can actually feel the upgrade
