Tony Allen, who was a very good friend of Ginger, has just passed away, and they're now together in heaven, high in the sky, playing the drums forever. R I P Ginger & Tony.

Here's the answer for you straight from the great JONI HAASTRUP, who played that keyboard-- "Thanks for your question regarding the keyboard that I was playing on that video with Ginger and my band. That was a Farfisa organ that I was playing back then but thank you for asking. That was such a long time ago, I had to think hard about it, my goodness, that was almost 40 years ago!!!" Thanks Joni!

Wow, this is amazing.Actually the guy playing the bass wearing the red tank is none other than famous Nigerian jazz artiste Tunde Kuboye, and he wrote that song that's being performed. I noticed his name wasn't in the credits at the beginning of the video. Anyhow the song is called 'Coming back home'. After this video was shot, the band 'Ginger Baker & Salt' was formed and they toured the 10 German cities & 30 US & Canadian cities. They also performed at the '72 Olympics Jazz Festival Munich

Great solo! By the way, Ginger Baker LIVES in Africa now and, although much older, is looking much more healthy after many years of clean living. He is semi- retired, but, even at over 70 he still gets behind the kit sometimes and, no, he hasn't lost it. Right here on KZbin are many videos that have been taken in the past few years. Type in "Ginger Baker Wrapping Paper" for his recent opinion of one of Cream's poppier songs.
