My English teacher let us watch this and let me tell you I absolutely adore this! Even though I was the only one in the class who laughed with the funny ones. My favorite story is the one with God and the devil and the keys!

I LOVE THIS FILM! I thank you kindly for the inspiration! I am a high school English teacher and I do love Ms. Zora. What a gift to have Ruby Dee's work available.

I recently started teaching Their Eyes Were Watching God. It's such a privilege to hold Zora's book in my hands and share passages with students who, otherwise, wouldn't get to see any of the richness of African-American Fold Tradition and culture. I'm giddy with excitement about finding this performance. I can't wait to show it to my students. This is why we read Zora Neale Hurston!

And I’ve got to imitate this os the best video I’ve ever seen. I always love videos that are long because if you like it, it goes on longer so if you love it you don’t have to watch it so many times

This is an interesting story and it not only talk about others view on black belief but racism. One race of black and another. The cain and abel bro hate for bro. It talk about the displacement in position. The fight of two parents that destroyed the child for no reason. Sister against sister, the hate of a person from the other side.

I wonder what her Godmother did with her writings. Is it she possible she published them under her name? Or sold them (not sure if that was a thing) Zora did request where abouts of the money? Hmmmm
