Here's a theory: Zoro doesn't have a demon inside him. His white sword (I don't know how to spell its' name) has a demon or death god devil fruit power. That devil fruit is what really killed Kuina and why she had to die offscreen. Zoro's personality is very compatible with the fruit which is why the devil fruit hasn't killed him too.

Zoros asura could be like hakuba within Cavendish. Maybe Mihawk sliced his eye to suppress it because zoro was not strong enough to control it yet. The Wado ichimonji is supposed to mean 'straight line through the path of harmony' so it would make sense that zoro loses direction because he's not in sync with the asura inside him yet. Sure it's rare but I think what makes zoro special is his ability to make cursed energy his own. If the will of wado ichimonji is to be one with the sword then maybe he has to conquer that asura within him

Have you considered that if Devil Fruits are the product of dreams, maybe Zoro is in the process of manifesting a new Devil Fruit. Zoro's dream to become the greatest swordsman in the world is super clear and his will appears to be strong enough to carry out his dream. In that sense, it's possible for Zoro to awaken the dream/devil inside himself, that is to say if Zoro brings his dream to life by becoming the world's strongest swordsman, maybe his dream will literally come to life via manifestation as a Devil Fruit, complete with its own will. Also, with knowledge of the dream - Devil Fruit connection, it adds a lot of juicy context to Blackbeard's declaration that "A person's dreams never die!" ・「人の夢は終わらねぇ！！」

Sandai Kitetsu means 3 generation demon slicer…. Is it possible that Ausura is just a manifestation of his cursed blade.. and the Reaper is a manifestation of Enma.. then the giant monkey is a manifestation Wado Ichimonji produces since the Hanomonji is also a monkey? Zoro can manifest his blades will and his use of enma was a battle of wills till he came to terms in the wano arc. Zoro is not a demon. The king of hell is Yama or (Enma). Yamaraj(Hell king) is a deva, not Asura although he looks like one. Yamaraj (Hell King) aka Dharmaraj(King of Justice) is a son of the Sun god in Hinduism. This implies that Zoro is probably a god, not a demon.

Rather than some demon, I think it's something more akin to Zoro being dead already or in a dead like state. I've just started reading one piece from the start after catching up to the anime during covid lockdown. In the first few chapters it's made very clear that the only reason Luffy survives situations is because he's a 'rubber man', but in contrast it's been brought up many times about how Zoro somehow survives for inexplicable reasons. Things that might seem like throw-away lines are more than likely far more important. Eg. Luffy said he would die if he didn't eat for 9 days like Zoro, but Zoro said he could have gone the full month. Or Nami asking how he survived the Buggy Ball. Arlong even quotes something about his eyes looking like the eyes of a dead/dieing man and that's why he needs to kill him immediately and how could he even be alive with the condition his body was in. There's something far more to Zoro that's been illuded to since the beginning Oh and come to think of it... his first introduction is looking like he's dead on a cross.... and he's talking about doing what ever he can to stay alive, which might just sound like he's talking about surviving the torture, but what if it implies he was already killed or close to being killed but his body just keeps moving

I would argue that this "demon" you speak of is nothing more than the will of either the Wado Ichimonji and Kitetsu III, and I'm leaning more on it being Kitetsu III with it being a "cursed" blade. I think introducing devas or some kind of strane demons at this point in the story is too late. Let alone for introducing the possibility of those demons being sealed inside people. Oda is in the final saga, he should stich to what he has already introduced in the story to keep the ending consistent. I believe Ashura is a spirit of one of Zoro´s swords, the same way the Grim Reaper is the "spirit" of Enma. It would still be kind of a stretch with what we know about the world of One Piece but still a believable one.

Its interesting you bring up Hinduism. Theres a surprising amount of Hinduism influence in One Piece. Its interesting you bring up Asura being the "Enemy of gods" in Hinduism. Well let me add another layer to that connection. We know that pirates despite being called enemies of gods. There are good pirates. Similarly in Hinduism although generally they are seen as the opposing side of Gods. In Hinduism they are really just another race of beings. Rather than a direct enemy. There are even good Asuras in Hindu lore. Just like how the Ds are the enemies of god but there are good D clan members like Luffy, Saul, Roger etc. Moreover, Hanuman also travelled to a "golden city". Sounds familiar? 👀 Moreover, Hanuman also helps save a queen of a country. Notice how Luffy also has a pattern of saving female royalty.

i think that zoro has already seen the grim reaper because he doesnt say '' what it that'' he knows what it is and knows its dangerous, maybe the grim reaper took his eye and because of the king haki he just mastered the grim reaper was unable to kill him and that s why the reaper didnt hurt hum.
