If all of this turns out to be true then it gives more meaning as to why Garp chose not to intervene in Ace's execution. Essentially, if he acted on saving Ace, he could risk ruining the plans of a coup even happening. It could also mean that he had to chose between starting the coup right there at Marineford knowing it could save Ace, but knowing internally that the coup itself would fail, or he chooses to let Ace be executed because he knows that they can't risk the Marines/WG finding out about the coup.

I do not believe that Dragon is a bad father. I don't think Dragon was like "I have a son, oh well... I'm going to just go do my own thing.". I think Dragon's past set him up for having a higher calling that far outranks the responsibility of being a father. Dragon is trying to be a protector of the entire world. His paternal instincts are inserted into his role of trying to create a better world for all. I think from Dragon's perspective, trying to rid the world of the oppressive world government is a part of his fatherly duties by trying to create a better world for all. Definitely convinced me that Garp is the head of Sword. The three heads of the monkey symbolism is too strong to not believe. The rest of the theory we'll have to see about. If this was true, it would also add some extra context to Garp asking Sengoku to hold him down after Sakazuki killed Ace. It would basically mean that Garp was about to ruin the revolution and had to have Sengoku force him down to prevent it, rather than it just being out of sheer anger.

I think you bring up a good point about how most of the conflicts the SHs end up in aren't completely centered around the crew. They often play a big role in the fights of their non-crew friends. I think that's why arcs like Enies Lobby and Water 7 stick out to so many fans. Aside from being extremely well written, they focus almost exclusively on the crew and their own struggles more than any other arcs in the story, culminating in the battle to take back one of their own. As such, it's where we see an immense amount of growth from our heros, which is another reason why those arcs are so beloved. I know this is random. Just a thought I had while watching.

The past few chapters have completely recontextualised the Ohara incident. Ohara was the last thread joining the will of the ancient kingdom to the present day and, rather than being expunged by the World Government, was the catalyst for all three of the Monkeys to overthrow it. Seems like a parallel to Roger igniting the Great Pirate Era when the WG executed him. It was the worst possible scenario for the WG in both cases.

About Luffy joining a war, started by Dragon. I think it would be more interesting if Luffy starts the war with the World Government, or at least the Marines, on his own. Think of how cool it would be if he rolls up to the new Marine Headquarters with the Grand Fleet, ready for battle in a scene that mirrors Whitebeard’s invasion of Marineford. It would be a great callback, while also showing how far Luffy has come.

I believe that the reason Kuzan owes Garp is because Garp inspired him with a new found faith in the marines. After witnessing Sakazuki’s destruction and killing innocent lives, Kuzan was left questioning the organization as a whole. I think Garp could have introduced him to his end game plan which was taking down the Celestial Dragons. He may have taken him under his wing Or simply inspired him with his free and disobedience to the top dogs in the WG. In this way Garp may have saved Kuzan during his lowest point -Preach

I think the Will of D means "The will of Dragons" and this is going off one little detail Oda revealed recently in chapter 1084 and 1086 (1 small panel). Also, keep in mind we recently learned the saint elders names and their connection to Greek mythology, this goes for the names of the 3 ancient weapons and of course. Nami has Zeus. Ch. 1084. A new character was introduced to us named Nefertari D. Lily. Double down since fujitora has fought sabo twice and both times never captured him. Something I find sneaky tho is shanks at the reverie. After what he did to green bull in wano i think it's safe to say shanks has elite level observation, able to single out a single target and use his conquerors haki from a large distance. I highly doubt he went into the reverie without doing the same, scanning the area with a high level observation technique, so he had to know who was there right? ESPECIALLY sabo, he had to know he was there, carrying aces will that he would recognize through sabos fruit, what if shanks was not only having a meeting with the goroseI but purposely splitting the defense of the marines with his presence, killing two birds with one stone. Cool thing to note is that after Luffy's bounty went up in whole cake arc, Garp reacted to Luffy's bounty saying he is still a fledgling and not big enough yet. Could be some foreshadowing for the plans Garp has with Luffy

I love what you said regarding the warlords. It's a major weakening, so the one pushing it might want exactly that. From the beginning, I thought this was a pretty stupid thing to do. Replacing the warlords thinking the seraphim are just as strong is one thing but minding the power balance, you have to keep in mind that the former warlords are on the pirates site now. Yes, the plan was to get rid of them but as we saw, they enjoyed their privilege for a reason. Fujitora might have his own agenda just fitting the ones of sword without being sure of their existence.

Around 17:00, we did find out in 1066 that Dragon had this Freedom Fighters group going on before the Revolutionary Army was founded (and Vegapunk declined the chance to join the FF due to lack of sufficient amount of funds available). The already existing goal Vegapink was referring to was likely referring to what he knew about the FF. This is a good video; it would be interesting to see what indeed sparked SWORD's founding. If it wasn't Ohara like you guess, it was surely some other terrible event related to the WG.

To add to this theory based on recent chapters with Garp. Before Garp "Died" to save Koby he made a big deal out of Koby being the future. Dragon saved Luffy if louge town because Luffy was the future. Dragon also saved Sabo and even though Sabo was young he quickly climbed through the ranks. So instead of it being a fight lead by Dragon, Garp and Luffy it owuld be Sabo, Koby and Luffy. The next generation coming to save the world. The future of all three factions are the ones that will bring down the world government. I think it fits a lot better with all the times they talk about a new dawn in the show. Garp mentored Koby, Dragon mentored Sabo and Shanks mentored Luffy. All leaders of their faction getting the next generation ready. And even if you don't agree that Shanks is the leader of the pirates you can't deny that Roger was literally the king of the pirates. But Roger died before he could meet Luffy so Shanks and Rayleigh carried on his will and mentored Luffy.

You intentionally left out that law is sword ;)… also Ssngoku name means civil war and is a famous era in Japan when internal conflicts brought about great changes. I have heard that a popular Japanese theory lays out great evidence and symbolism behind sengoku character to be someone who changes sides. Also if you read the conversations at marineford with sengoku and garp if you assume sengoku is apart of sword it really reads like sengoku I trying to convince garp not to blow his cover and ruin the 20 years of setup for change.

I agree entirely that Luffy is incapable of planning an assault on Mary Geiose, but that doesn't mean he won't be the one to instigate it. I rather suspect that, as with so many other things, Luffy will decide, "We're going to attack Mary Geiose," then he'll leave it to everyone else to figure out how to make it work. That's what happened when they went to the sky islands, that's what happened to get them to the sea floor and Fishman Island, that's what happened when he said he wanted to go rescue Ace, and so on. Luffy has a solid history of setting impossible goals that the people around him suddenly have to figure out how to achieve. So just because Luffy isn't capable of figuring out the logistics of such an attack doesn't mean he won't be the one to decide when it happens. I believe that he will say they're doing it, which will prompt Robin to contact the Revolutionary Army while the others scramble to contact all of their other allies, then someone else (possibly Dragon) will plan the actual attack. I'm only about one-quarter of the way through the video at this point, but I just had to pause and make this observation.

another point in favor of the smoker involvement is the fact that ivankov didn't know luffy was dragon's son which implies dragon never mentions it to anyone and would explain why smoker initially acts against luffy despite him being the son of his supposed leader

Aokiji was an admiral (so still technically a vice admiral earlier),but it seems like he left after losing the battle on Punk Hazard for the position of Fleet Admiral? Edit: he got there eventually. I think the way it’s described in the beginning could have included that he was an admiral, but hey, still great video! Thanks for the content!
