Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even kzbin.infoUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

Great video! This was not only a great video showing various installations of the cameras, but it also showed in-depth looks at the DVR system, menus in the DVR system, functions of the DVR system, as well as various functions of the cameras as well as day and night views as well as how to use the app. I appreciate your review and your review has definitely sold me on buying the surveillance system. Mines is in the mail currently right now and I was borderline not sure because of the things I’ve heard about the app but it seems like everything else is great on it especially the picture which is the most important thing. Very good review. I like the detail that you go into because the book doesn't give much information on how to do all of the settings. I have set a privacy area in my grandkid's bedroom, but I made the area too large and now don't know how to undo this action. Can't find anything online about it either. I like how you run the cables, I need to figure how to run mine in a home that is almost 100 years old and built weird. Things and apps have changed now, and Zosi View doesn't work with the system and it is a different program on the computer now also. I have the 8 camera setup.

I just purchased this unit. It would not allow me to enter a log-in and password so I skipped. Now when I right click it defaults back to the admin id and asks for the password. Have no idea how to get into it to setup and not getting very far with the e-mail support. Any ideas?

I've had mine for years. I've never figured out how to keep it on one particular camera . If I click on camera 1 it will only stay on there for about 20 seconds and it will default back to the multi screen.

How do you create a local sign in on the system itself? not interested in setting up an app on a cell phone. just signing in and out on the system at home.. what dose a yellow box in the left lower corner mean ? input from anyone would help.

Good explanation.... I have a couple of questions. 1. Are the IR-leds visible at night? 2. Did the system come with 60' of wire for each camera and if you need more than 60' is there an extension available?

The IR lights have a slight red glow coming from them. So if you know where the cameras are you can see the glow. Each camera comes with 60' of wire and you can buy additional on Amazon.

Extensions are available. In his video of the night shots, you can see the glare from the IR on other cameras so positioning is crucial. Each system does advertise 60ft of cable for each camera. Amazon have whole or partial set ups including cables.

I can not get any video on my camera. I have the same set up but my box is all black. I have all wires in and power to everything. It only shows black screens on my monitor. I also am prompted to input a password and what I was told to put in doesn't work. I can't figure it out for the life of me!! Any suggestions?

Good review. But have you ever needed to export video to a usb drive? A friends seems to have a fault where it will only record about 2 seconds and the file size is only about 9mb. The video files are about 19min long on average. Also the unit seems to reboot after so called saving. Thanks.

How has this system held up, any issues? We were looking to get 2 wireless cameras but we don't have internet at our property and the price and monthly cost for Arlo go cameras on Verizon network was crazy so we have been looking at this system for our home, after this long and for the price would you still recommend this system for basic home monitoring?

The system has held up great. I use it just for monitoring my house when I'm inside. I haven't hooked up to a computer monitor and I can see all corners of my house at night time even when it's pitch-black with the night vision. You do not need any network to use this system and can rewind all the footage if you have a monitor hooked up with a mouse. I would say the only downside on the system is the app interface for phone

I have model #zro8an/10. It beeps, shuts down, reboots intermittently. I removed the hard drive, still does it. I've looked in settings, as far as I can tell, nothing is checked to alarm. Any recommendations on what too check?

Hi Lakay, whether it is included hard drive or not depends on the system you choose. If you choose the system within 1TB hard drive, certainly it will be installed advance.

Can this be done without a network connection? I just received mine, installed the 6TB (maximum claimed compatibility) hard drive, plugged the HDMI cable into it & TV & result was NOTHING. The unit powers up when plugged into power and HDMI but with multiple hdmi cables working everywhere else there's absolutely no video signal through any video output (yet it has the Quality Assurance sticker on the unit). So in order to provide a video out through HDMI does it absolutely demand a network connection and if so, am I the only person finding that horribly suspicious (it's Chinese after all, the county on full network attack of much of the USA)?

@@theultimateninja Yes. It defaults to the Eastern 50Hz signal output while here in the USA I needed a Western 60Hz signal. I used my HDMI to Composite converter and that gave me a video signal. Then I was able to change the video output from 50 to 60 Hertz.

Alston Hall If you mean a drive with more storage, yes, Zositech offer options with more storage if you require it, but with the overwrite function enabled you can typically get about a month worth of recording on a 1TB drive. You can also order these without the drive and install your own one.
