I’ve just begun to get into Spellbinders. I joined the Small Die Kit of the month and I’m finding that lately, I’m leaning towards stand alone dies. The reason for that is because more and more, designers are using different mediums besides stamping. I’m not proficient in watercolors or marker coloring, along with the investment . Purchasing both a stamp set & coordinating dies can be costly too, so I’m being more choosy. I absolutely LOVE your work Yana. Before I invest in a Glimmer machine, I want to be sure it’s user friendly. This is a very helpful video and I’m going to watch your 1st video using the Hot Foil system. Sorry this was long but maybe feedback is good for crafting companies too. Thx again!

thank you, Jyoti! I was on the fence about this machine last year and didn't think I'd need it/love it. But as the time goes by (and as new and new plate designs are released) I can't help but love it! In fact, I just finished filming another video with foil plates and doing some ombre foiling.

Mind blowing and utterly professional techniques💖👌🏻💖. That's the look most modern card makers want, they want it to look as clean as if it was bought, but unique. Now I know it's a hot foiling machine that's been missing in my life!!!

Yana- Thank you for the video! Lots of the tips I hadn't thought of. I have the Gemini system because I can no longer manually die cut due to my disability. I never thought to use the washi tape as a hinge on my die. This is really going to be a game changer for me. I've screwed up so many of my pieces because things moved etc.when I put things down. I appreciate all the work you put into making your cards & videos. I also enjoyed the water color resist video. I have that same plate and plan on doing several of them with bristol smooth cardstock so I can use watercolor pens while at my son's lacrosse tournaments the next couple of weekends! Thanks again!

Hi Yana! Thanks so much for sharing. This was such a super creative way to foil. I love the partial foiling idea like the partial stamping and the masking because I am always in awe of that and have never tried yet. I was hoping that you could look to do a tutorial sharing how you take and stage your photos as they are always so breathtaking. Also would love if you could do a masculine card series. Have a brilliant day and happy crafting!!!

Yana Smakula the only problem with it is that it requires so many new goodies to invest in - the system itself, the foils, the new dies... that’s another deep well of expenses ;-)

Hi Yana. I have been out of the crafting world for a year or so while all of these new technologies rained in. I wanted to ask, for this foiling system, from what I understood, it's possible to use die cuts with it right? You don't have to end up buying dedicated foiling plates only? And also, can I use my stamps with it? (weird question I know but curious).
