ZSS: Additional Ladder Combo Exercises

Just a collection of ladder combos you can practice easily in training that I didn't have time to include in the main video. I didn't want to flash up every input for the combo for fear of making your eyes sting. If you have any questions about any of these combos, ask me in the comments :-)
Not all of these will work on every character, and exact percentages, staling and rage will all have an impact on which ones will work. The emphasis here is merely on getting a feel for how to do them. You should practice on a variety of characters and stages.

Do they still show true in the new combo counter? I can't make even the first one true, but it seems pretty identical

No they don’t, combo counter was patched. I made a comment in the main video addressing it. TL;DR they are still true and cannot be escaped.

I know I’m a month late. I just picked up ZSS as a main and your content is the best. Do you use tilt stick for ladder combos or A button for easier use.

I use tilt stick for the falling up airs and the A button for the rising ones.

I can´t true connect the third hit from the easy combo. The Combo always only counts the first two hits what could i do wrong ? Nice Vieo by the way.

hey i know this is a really old video, but i'm new to ZSS and just wanted to ask if there really is any reason to be doing other ladder combos other than one specific one at a specific percent? i mean having multiple for the same% just confuses me on why i would learn them lol, i was just wondering

Absolutely. The main purpose of this exercise is to improve your speed and execution of hitting multiple up airs so the opponent can’t escape - NOT to learn the specific combos off by heart. In a real match, things will be complicated by exact percentage, staling, rage, and opponent DI, and you will not usually be able to rely on that one specific combo. Instead, you will need to improvise on the fly, and you will be better and faster at this by practicing these.

I feel like my up B comes out way later than yours, even in the first combo I can't even connect the second hit of boost kick, I can only hit the third hit and onwards. Not sure what I'm doing wrong tbh, I feel like I input the upB in a timely manner.

I addressed this in a comment in the main video I think. Short answer: combo meter was patched, shows them as not true, but they are.

At 0:45 with frame perfect timing this isn't true. Im using a modded training room that air dashes on first possible frame and marth keeps escaping. It does become true at 32% though :^)
