Thank you so much for all the great feedback recently! Something that has consistently come up is people being unable to replicate the ladder combos shown here, or at least not getting the training mode combo meter to register them as true combos. I was half-way through producing a video detailing common reasons for dropping ladder combos, when I realised to my horror that I could not replicate them either! Upon further investigation, I found that nothing has changed regarding the frame data of all the moves, but I hadn't noticed that the training mode combo meter has been patched since I recorded those combos, and will no longer register them as true. In the examples I gave, Marth still does not have time to airdodge between the up airs or the Boost Kick, so these combos WILL still work on him provided he does not use up special. Marth is very unusual with his ability to break out of combos with a frame 1 move, and most characters will not be able to do anything faster than airdodge. I would still suggest using a character like Marth to practice on however, since his size, weight and fall speed are all fairly average. Remember that the emphasis with all of these exercises is to give you a *feel* for how to perform these kinds of combos, and not to learn these specific ones by-heart. It is almost impossible that these exact situations and positions will arise during an actual match, and spacing, timing and order will all be dependent on a plethora of factors such as staling and rage. So don't worry too much about getting these exactly right every time, the most important thing is to develop an instinct for them so they become second nature in a real match. Hope this helps! This video was so well made it looked like a National Geographic documentary for smash. I would like to say due to bayo’s bat within, she can escape frame 1.i don’t know if you included it or not in the description or something but just pointing that out. Great video, helped out a lot.
@STAWBsOrio4 жыл бұрын
@@ShadteR Thank you! This was why in the I assume in the calculations that the opponent can escape as soon as they can act at all, so this will apply to Bat Within as well.

She's such a fun main. Relies super heavily on reads though so she can be either super frustrating or super satisfying. If you haven't already watch this man's video on everything about flip jump/kick. It took my ZSS to a whole new level. First off, I notice those Captain Marvel references, and that's some epic editing on this vid! Also, I made a comment on your overall guide for ZSS recently that I was watching so that I could learn some tips to give my girlfriend, who mains ZSS. Thing is, I've learned so much from your guides that ZSS has become extremely fun to play as. Sure, I'm sticking as a Cloud main, but I'm gonna have fun in this learning experience. Heck, my girlfriend is on vacation now, so if I keep watching your guides I may have enough knowledge about the character to give her plenty of tips when she gets back! I went from being absolute trash with ZSS to being legitimately good with her. Thanks to u and your guides! P.s., u seem like the fun kind of math teacher. U make stuff easy to understand, plus u play video games. That's a win, if u ask me!

Thanks so much! Glad they helped! Yeah, all of the controller animations here were manually keyframed; I think that would be nigh-on impossible for a combo video 😂. I think there are mods out there for showing the inputs? Don’t know if they’d work with replays.

ZSS feels like a character with the most untapped potential out of all of the top tiers. Some top tiers just feel heavily mismanaged like Inkling, Wario, and formal top-tier Pichu or way too basic with Palutena, Wolf, and Lucina.
