Kenichi Yoshida must be one of the animators who best represents vehicles in traditional animation
@AnotherSakuga8 ай бұрын
He is highly recognized for this as he represents the vehicles with impressive care and delicacy while imbuing them with everything that distinguishes the Ghibli-Telecom animators

His sequence in Lagann-hen has nothing to envy to those of Yoshinari and Sushio

Yes, without a doubt, his training in Studio Ghibli helped a lot in his style

All the names of the series are in the description, I have also added the option of subtitles in English and Japanese with the names of all the series. You can go back or forward frame by frame Frame Advance: Press the " . " Key / Rewind frame: Press the " , " key Remember, animation is not made to pause as animation is made up of the entire sequence of drawings that create the illusion of movement, so there is no point in evaluating the "quality" of animation based on an individual drawing. Even so, I highlight the option to move forward and back frame because it is always interesting to see the animator's work in each particular drawing, in addition to helping a lot to understand how his work works.

The sequence I would like to highlight is the one from Gurren Lagann Movie 2. Kenichi Yoshida performed one of the best action sequences in all of Gurren Lagann. The mecha has a very solid and heavy movement, but at the same time it moves with a lot of dynamism and the details are very well taken care of. The effects and the sensation of depth are also quite remarkable, being a very unique work of the animator. Here you can see an Original Drawing of the sequence: www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/180996

02:39 this clip is from Eureka OP4? Really loves his sky-surfing animations, especially in Eureka#26. And any comments on his work in "The Orbital Children"? I really can't tell who did which part XD. Personally think the animation in "Orbital Children" is good, consistent but not eye popping.

Yep, I really didn't realize that I put ED in the credits XD

I wanted to wait as long as possible to see if someone would recognize his work on Orbital Children but I have no idea when that will be so I posted the video instead. I could only identify a few cuts of Inoue and there was one that I'm pretty sure was made by Mitsuo Iso. Inoue and Yoshida gave an interview before the series premiere and it seems that Mitsuo Iso is still an extremely demanding director, so as with Dennou Coil too much visual consistency is maintained, apparently rejecting Inoue's drawings and Yoshida's designs for going out of specifications. Iso is an animator/director who does not usually want to leave for the spectacular, but rather seeks animation fundamentally well done

@@AnotherSakuga Yeah, I personally agree that making the basics right is the key of animation, but the staff list is more outstanding than the work? No offend, but I think this approach is better than those full of sakuga but weak in basic episodes like PCR#4. Thanks for sharing!
