Thank you for comparing the two books. I own the first release book which I deconstructed and am in the process of coping onto the correct paper for the medium I’m using. It has reintroduced me to my coloring mediums in the process. I like that she included pictures to color in between the charted pages. It makes it a fun resource book. I love the book!

I’m from uk as a treat ,I noticed this artist edition is out , I had to get it , I think I may have the same problem as you , and yes I’ve looked at the travel bag and absolutely love it 😍 , I love watching you doing your art and Lovely Rose . A long time ago I made my own color chart from a 8x8 watercolor spiral bound book. But because I created each chart as I purchased the art supply they are not in any order. This book is beautiful but I’m not sure if I would want to re chart my whole supply again.

Hi Karen 💖 I keep thinking of that excellent point you made when talking about this chart book, you said this book couldn’t have all card stock because it would be too thick and too heavy to use, let alone carry it around…I know for me that would be true, so it must be true for others with weak hands and wrists. I had the old book and just received the artist edition really waste for me personally, as I don't have many of the pencils that they've included all the black widows aren't upgraded it's missing the Dragon then all the pages of Derwent only difference in this book for me would be being spiral-bound

I’ve just bought the cheaper copy, to be honest there wasn’t a choice of a hard copy. I wonder if I took my book into a printers and asked for the book to be reprinted on thicker paper and also spiral bound, I didn’t realise it was printed on budget paper this has put me off a bit because my last swatch book was like this, hence why I purchased this one. It’s a lovely book sadly I’m regretting ordering it now

I definitely need this book! I only have a few sets of pencils now, but I plan to expand my collection! Also, I was wondering if maybe you wouldn't mind making a video to explain the differences in the different types of pencils? For example, I don't own any of the Caran d'Ache sets yet, so I have no idea what the difference is between luminance and pablos. I have Prismas, some of the black widow, Castle Art soft touch, and some Arteza, and like I said, I am going to collect all of the different sets, I just don't know which one I want to get next because I don't know the difference between all the different brands/types of pencils. I would GREATLY appreciate it if you made a video explaining this because I'm a little lost lol! There's all these different brands, and then each brand has different types of pencils, and I'm not sure what the differences are! Thank you!

Trivia: The curly fern starts are called fiddle heads. Thank you for doing this and all of your videos. They are so great for learning. New to coloring and just got the old book. Now kinda wishing I'd known the new version was coming out. Would’ve gotten that one instead. Now I have to decide if I should buy the new one. I do really like that it is thicker paper and spiral bound. (Sigh)

So if you have ever watched color an recover his name is Ryan he did a review of the Artist Edition of this book an he said the paper felt like Creative Haven books an so I got my Creative Haven book down an imo I do believe that it does feel like Creative Haven bookpaper. Not the tabs of course but the actual swatch chart 💜💜😍

I don't want to be entered, I just wanted to say that you made a very good point saying that if the medium works on create space paper it will work on the thicker paper. I agree... my swatching consists of random pieces of paper with swatches and the medium's name.... no numbers, no color names....😅 I'm a mix as I go kind of gal, after surviving a stroke, this book is just way over my head 😂
