After you scraped the "frosting" off through the camera it looked like the horse was glistening and glowing with white in some spots. This gave me a idea of my own to use in the future. I often use various white mediums for special effects. Depends what effect i am going for. Most of the time i feather and fade the white outwards and soften the edges with a damp brush. Never thought about using it on and around a big animal like a horse. But i could see on camera how it would look. 🌟 I noticed you hold your pencils directly between your thumb and forefinger with the pencil itself resting on the fleshy space. Have you tried holding the pencil like you do but instead wrap your thumb around your index finger slightly with the pencil nested in between the middle and index, and resting the top part of the pencil so it lines up with your first knucke? It might help take some of the pressure off as you arent clasping your fingers together as you color. It might feel akward at first to hold it like this but you will still have the same control and range of movement as the position you currently use. There is actually a chart you can find that shows the different postions that people in general and also artists hold there pencils/pens. I believe there was 5 to 7 different positions. I am no stranger to pain so anything that might help someone i will at least try if i can. I have carpal tunnel myself and castor oil packs with heat have really been a lifesaver for me. Also works for migraines. The castor oil packs are normally used at night with a heating pad or hot water pack to let the castor oil penetrate deeply into the tissues and cartilage. It also brings blood to the area. Age old knowledge thats been forgotton. Works for internal cysts too among other things. I love all the texture and inking on this page. Looking forward to part 3.

Hi Karen 💖 Sorry I'm behind watching your video. I've been cleaning and preparing Thanksgiving side dishes, and Bailey is here and she is helping me so much. I am so happy to sit and relax while watching you work magic. 💖💖

Karen 💖 You're such a trooper. I really appreciated your words of wisdom in the beginning of this video, yes we all make mistakes, but the point is to learn from them. I actually loved the liquid pearl you used first, but it's your page and if you don't like it I get it lol. Like I said, in the comment of your first video of this page, knowing you, this will turn out gorgeous, and I believe that because I've seen you do it over and over. Thank you so much for sharing! 💖💖💖

I love your idea to decorate the carousel like a cookie, so fun and imaginative! The 2nd video reminds me of real baking-when the recipe isn’t turning out like the one in the picture so we try “fixing” it to get it “right.” Lo and behold, sometimes the altered recipe results in a new favorite! Thanks for sharing your idea, the changes you made along the way, and what is sure to be a delightful cookie/page😊 Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃🍁

Karen, I have done the same thing, multiple times. I had a similar experience to this with white posca where I overdid it, the paper ripped, and it came out a mess. Another time with a silver gel pen. I literally erased it with the Faber Castell Eraser and just about damaged the paper. I did a dark background once on a Mythographic page and it was a mess, tried to go over it with black marker and made it worse. Some were so bad I did not share them, others I did and thought, I'm human and we all do it, so oh well. I posted it and moved on to the next. No one is perfect. Every one of us has made these mistakes. I will say though, you saved it quite well! Thank you for sharing!

A tip that really helps with the dimensional/glitter squeeze bottle paints is to store them upside down. It allows the paint to settle at the end and the air bubbles to rise to the bottom. They make holders that are set up that way, but you can repurpose other things. It's also nice because you can label the bottom or apply the paint to the bottom to see at a glance what you are reaching for. They are really hard on the hands if you have issues with squeezing. No way around that... but there is less squeezing if the product is settled at the tip.

Also found out that if you don't put paper between the pages it rubs off or stains the other side and some erases off others not so much, I'm going to try to spray a sealer but I've never had this problem before!

On Hanna's webpage I read that it was only released in Sweden in August. I can't find the book available anywhere either but on her website she also explains that her health got worse by the end of this year.😢 Maybe it was decided with the publisher to put things on hold for the moment?
