Learn how to make the quick & easy dry sabzi Zunka recipe at home with our chef Varun Inamdar.
Zunka is a popular Maharashtrian dry sabzi that is made from besan/gram flour. Zunka requires fewer ingredients to make and can be made very easily. Zunka tastes delicious when accompanied with Bhakri. When there no vegetable option to make at home, Zunka is the best alternative!
Ingredients:
- 3 tbsp Oil
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida
- 3 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
- 2 Green Chillies (crushed)
- 1/2 cup Onion
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- 1/2 cup Gram Flour
- 1 tsp Oil

Nice and easy Thanks Wanted to know something regarding the brass kadai used as it looks traditional, is the tin lining done for the kadai, as it doesn't look like that, or direct brass vessel. Hoping to get the reply..

Interesting recipe. Kind of like an uppma? I think I would like to combine the seasonings minus the besan with cooked rice. I think that would be tasty, with some yougurt.
