“I figure Chevrolet engineers know better than I do” - exactly bro. I’m not a hater on the tuner world, but I am baffled by the number of weekend warrior idiots who ruin their cars thinking they know better than the genius engineers who created the car to begin with....

Chevrolet engineers know better then i do? looooool, no. You can get a lot more power out of these cars by simple upgrades, not to mention, even a Chevrolet made new tune, Or go aftermarket. Any car you can get more power generally by changing parts from stock, unless its a exotic car where their engineering truly is pristine
@letdesekidsknoha20658 жыл бұрын
that was beyond stupid...... NO manufacturer builds their engines to the limit of their potential.... not to mention to be able to sell them they have to meet emission regulations and shit... the fact that you get that much power from the factory,for so cheap, and produced in such volume..is why theyre great.
@zachchicano13298 жыл бұрын
nice review : u get can get a good 06 for 24-28 grand low mileage one good bang for ur buck

+Zach Chicano Thanks! I agree that mid 20's for a low mileage C6 is a good deal on a very fast and comfy GT car.
@bushtailrazorback97979 жыл бұрын
corvettes are awesome performers, and a great chassis to boot. my beg worth them is the lack of innovation on the engine. everyone is pushing the industry forward other than chevy. we'll make the engine, we've been using since the 60's out of aluminum and add efi (or di in the c7) and call it good. it's angle is that of a cheap, fast, reliable track car, that you have to do little to prep for the track, lol. it's hard not to sound like a troll on KZbin, so i hope i managed not to, lol
@Zygrene9 жыл бұрын
+Bushtail Razorback I agree the GM small block V8's aren't the most innovative engines on the market, but it carries forward the ethos of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", which I think is partly why they're so darn reliable. The latest LT1 in the C7 makes about 450+ hp/torque yet can return over 35mpg on the freeway. Hard to argue with that. Americans will always want their big V8's. Even using aluminum and adding DI are good steps forward, IMO, even if all the other manufacturers did this years ago.
@linksdeath1238 жыл бұрын
+Zygrene also the new LT1 is Vtec or variable timing so there is you innovation.
@nighthawkviper67917 жыл бұрын
WarmSoftKitty I can't speak for the LT4 but the LS2 Vette I have gets 30 every once in awhile on the highway and consistently 22 in the city, unless I stomp on it then it it drops to 17

+consciouslyfree If you're looking to track the car, C5Z is more capable. You can find a nice one for a bit under 20k if you're patient. Base C6 is more of a fast cruiser.
